It seems to me most well-intentioned Ghanaians are oblivious to what is going on in the Ghanaian Governance and Management set up.
There are politically entrenched people whose role is simply to do everything they can to keep out those who they term as 'TROUBLE MAKERS'.
The trouble makers comprise of those who would NOT condone some of the acts KILLING the country 'SOFTLY' and those whose classmates in the system cannot be Identified to Ascertain whether or not 'THEY WILL PLAY BALL' it is ubstantially made up of those who Studied and Lived abroad and could help transform Ghana the Southeast Asia way by bringing what they saw and experienced and learned to bear on our processes and the unrefined manner in which we view Govt, Govt Work and Govt Assets.
Learning that PUBLIC SERVICE IS a SACRED PUBLIC TRUST to be USED for the GREATER GOOD of GHANAIANS and NOT for the NARROW GAIN of a GREEDY FEW, has not been a successful exercise within Ghana. It has to be largely and mostly 'IMPORTED' if we really want the change that we desire. And
then those who did NOT have the Privilege to go to 'EXPERIENCE and SEE' these Nation building 'Blocks and Mortar' can learn from those who did and gradually, with God on our side, we will be transforming Ghana.
Jerry Rawlings, as strong as he was, struggled to hold this attitude in check, but tried. It has since become FREE for ALL with successive Governments.
Most, if not all of us, who have had the EXPOSURE and WORLD CLASS Experience and the CAN DO Spirit, are prepared to work for the PITTANCE that would NOT TAKE YOU HOME unless you are collecting your brand of 10%. And we come from HOMES and FAMILIES where we will succomb to HUNGER and POVERTY before we ever consider compromising our values and Principles.
Yet it appears this STRENTGH of CHARACTER is viewed as being a threat and a rather CONTROVERSIAL Virtue.
And you see, the NATION WRECKERS control most of the Newspapers and Radio Stations and are ready to throw MUD at you if you dare 'PUT SAND IN THEIR GARI'
MUD-THROWING or NO MUD-THROWING, some of us are still Ready to come and serve and hekp build our Nation, but it very obvious that they simply don't want us in Government or in Institutions that do serious Business with or for Government because we will be 'TOO CLOSE' for their comfort.
AND THAT IS OK. IF EMINENT and HIGHLY DECORATED GHANAIANS such as yourselves will continue to 'REMAIN' oblivious to this CANKER that is SLOWLY but SURELY EATING away at the Fabric of Our Society that is OK.

I would urge you to direct this piece of advice to the NDC gov't, which is so tribalistic, very intolerant of our ethnic and cultural diversity and always and continuously by their propaganda, lies and falsehood, seek to malign one tribe against the other. The NDC party would need to redeem themselves of this propaganda, which is creating problems for them. The NDC is the worst culprit when it comes to creating divisions, strife and ethnic tensions, because they are envious of people who tool to make something for themselves and adopt very vile propaganda to malign various ethnic groups whilst benefitting from such strife. Ghana can and would never progress with such attitudes, which is never condemned by the likes of KB Asante.

Just think of the the then C M B scholarship which was meant to assist the poor suffering Ghanaian farmers educate their children and yet it was the managing directors, managers, politicians, senior army/police officers etc,etc who benefited from it.
I challenge K B Asante to put his hand on heart and come forward to deny this.
You see Dr,the ordinary Ghanaian will do his or her utmost best to help the country grow but the rotten system which only a few undeserved people benefit from it needs to be eradicated.
One other issue which has been ignored for long is Ghana building everything around Accra and neglecting the other parts of the country.Centralization is one big part of Ghana's problems and others are lack of common sense and shortsightedness from you,our so-called leaders.
Show integrity, dedication and die a little for Ghana and desist from greed.
Lead by examples with deeds and not mere rethorics.

Mr. Asante has belittled his own inteligence. Ghana's economic and fiancial woes, albeit under-development, has been caused by few leaders and politicians who were, and have been, mandated to steer the affairs of the nation. Regardless of unity, Ghana should have been way up on the international economic bouyancy. Ghana has never been to civil war. So what unity is KB talking about. For example, NDC will do what they want to do regardless of opposition from the NPP. And NPP will do what they want to do regardless of NDC opposition or criticism. So what role does disunity play in managing the affairs of Ghana.
