More to the point and more importantly, why is it that since 1975 that Nana Akufo Addo is known to have been a registered lawyer in Ghana, it is now in 2013 that the so-called Justice Kpegah (Ewe, I suppose?) had an "epiphany" that Nana Akuffo-Addo is a fake lawyer? Is that his allegation? Who appointed Kpegah to the bench and thence to the Supreme Court of Ghana? This is patently, a childish and a diversionary and pathetic attempt to smear the honorable Nana Akufo Addo. Why is the Supreme Court of Ghana dragging its heels on the pending suit about the rigging of the 2012 elections that named John Dramani Mahama as President of our dear Ghana? Shame on these NDC blockheads!

I hold several University Degrees and I don't recall taking any damn photos to prove that I earned my Degrees. In fact, sometimes, one picks up academic Degrees long after the graduation ceremonies. So how would anyone in my situation have photos to "prove" that I graduated from University? I bet my last bottom dollar that you "Nana Appiah" have not even seen the four walls of a lecture hall in any University in your lifetime! Your words betray your utter ignorance!!

Meaning the money goes back to China. To win this contracts, China easily operate with African Leaders by inflating cost and dispersing funds into African Leaders pockets.

You cannot be a lawyer in the uk with any first degree but with ur first degree in any subject you can read the GDL and proceed to do BPTC/LPC before u can qualify to become a lawyer.

John Mahama with the active connivance of the EC was declared a President after the Dec elections. The process was fraught with irregularities and outright fraud. John Mahama's credibility as a President in the eyes of Ghanaians and the international community is suspect. It would be in the interest of the NDC apparacthiks to as matter of principle, allow the case to proceed in court, so as to absolve John Mahama of any electoral fraud. At the moment, the consensus is that, his Presidency is illegitimate and no amount of trickery, witchery, frustration, intimidation as well as frivolous and malacious writs, would deter Ghanaians and the NPP, with the able support of all the other contestants, who were cheated in this elections from pursuing this matter to it's logical conclusion. John Mahama and the EC are thieves. We would not sit down for thieves to govern us. Let sanity prevail and lets get to the bottom of this matter for the sake of John Mahama who believes he won the elections hands down.

So the matter is all about impersonation.

Let us examine the paperwork carefully. Let us look at Nana oo Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo alias William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's certificates - from GCE O Level, A Level, degrees at University of Ghana, Legon, and law degree in the UK. Then we can look at the certificates from Middle Temple. He can post it online. His PR machinery should go straight to damage limitation. Obama had to show us his birth certificate when people were doubting where he was born!!

Then we go swiftly to examine how Nana aka William managed to obtain the Ghana Bar certificate.

His classmates should be able to come forward and testify on his behalf. His teachers should be able to testify on his behalf. Did the late Mills teach Nana at Ghana Law school? Unfortunately, a dead man cannot testify, so that may not help him.

We need proof of evidence:

(a) That Nana was in the same class with them from 1974 to 1975. Did he have to attend classes for 3 months or 6 months or what? That Nana and William are the same persons. He has to swear an affidavit and bring us some proof. We need to see his birth certificate and any formalities surrounding his change of name if indeed he changed his name. The change of name deed should not be backdated, please.

(b) That Nana oo Nana genuinely sat Ghana Bar School exams and that he passed them in 1975(if that was required at the time).

(c) That the said Nana Addo did the right thing and is not impersonating William A D Akufo-Addo. Who is William A D Akufo-Addo? Is he one of his brothers, cousins or relatives?

(d) That his dear daddy, the senior Edward Akufo-Addo did not fast-track his son's calling to the Ghana Bar in any way. That money did not change hands for a certificate.

(e) Of course, the Graduation photos will help authenticate the story, but that would not be enough as people can take the photos at any time and at any studio.

(f) That the Chambers that he set up really and truly belongs to him and that he is fit and competent to run those chambers.

(g) That he did not acquire the Chambers illegally from the original owner of the Chambers - Judge Campbell....

The case is very important to the Ghana Bar and all lawyers who wish to practise at the Ghana Bar. In the 1970s, several Ghanaians in England were allowed to sit the Ghana Bar exams at the Ghana Embassy in London. There is a long list including Lawyer August, Lawyer Boaitey and the rest. Some of them subsequently went to Ghana just to be called to the Bar.

Nowadays, lawyers are not allowed to sit the exams at the Ghana Embassy in London. They have to travel to Ghana and spend at least one year attending classes, using 1960s law books and precedents. The whole Ghana Legal Council needs to be revamped. It is possible for a person to come from England with English Bar qualifications and be called to the Ghana Bar skipping the usual formalities, esp. when they have the right connections. e.g. There is a family court judge in the UK who was fast-tracked to the Ghana Bar in one day as a barrister to enable her deal with a case in hand at court in the matter of Dr. Safo-Adu.
