Any way why are the NPP lawyers going to the defence of Justice Anim Yeboah? If he could by the ethics of the profession not respond himself, I guess there could be an institution or body to do so on his behalf. Tsikate knows the law and I do not think he could be legally faulted with his comment. I should think he explained why some other judges who ruled for the NDC could not be said to be biased. He gave reasons for his opinion and the best a lawyer who wants to comment on his statement is to critique what he said by proving him wrong. Are judges or their judgements above criticisms? Tsatsu did not not see it so.
Was Pinochet conviction in the UK not overturned because one of the judges wife was a human rights activist and it was charged that she could have influenced the husband? When the issue came up was not critiqued in the UK media?
It is unfortunate that some past students of Tsatsu are still learning from him. It would be good for the press to have the views of Tsatsu on this issue in the light of the reactions his statement evokes.

In America this, or in America that and so we can do the same in Ghana because we are also a democracy per our constitution. In a democratic state, what Tsikata said is nothing. It happens all the time in America whenever the supreme court renders a decision. In America too, they are nine; chosen by different presidents and so they almost always vote on party lines. When the US supreme court upheld Obama's new Health care law as legal, the republicans went beserk and started insulting the five judges, including the chief justice who is a republican. Some irate republicans even declared him 'wanted'..and so it amazes me when law lecturers and others are criticizing tsikata for his views about a judge on the supreme court. Personally, i believe democracy is not good for Africa. We dont understand it and yet we want to practice it like it is practiced in America. What is good for Africa is one party democracy or mild dictatorship like Ivory Coast under Houphoet Boigny

He only said, judges human as they are have inherent biases and in Anim Yeboah's case, the observations he, Tsatsu made suggest to him tha Mr. Yeboah might still be loyal to NPPs since perhaps he was appointed to bench by Mr. Kuffour. It is purely an opinion offered in a discussion. His comments by any stretch of imagination does not accuses the judge of bias because he appointed by Mr Kuffour. Please people should read the comments and look at its context and stop the vicious attack rain on him.
