Those of you who have seized this sad, tragic event as another opportunity to be releasing your venomous, uncouth and unfounded hatred for Awoonor and Ewes are just revealing yourselves as to what you really are: mentally warped evil people without any redemptive features at all.

Awoonor was absolutely right in taking on and exposing the hounding of Ewes by some Akans, led by some core Asante elements from within the former Asante kingdom after the 1966 coup. He was a victim himself. That hounding continues to this day and we who are reasonable and know the facts and have the capability owe a duty to Awoonor, to our ourselves and our children to vindicate what he wrote and expose these rabies infested dogs for what they are!

Awoonor was no tribalist! Writing on the tribal hounding of Ewes by some Akans of the Matemeho tradition who destroyed the UP tradition with their ethncentrism does not make one a tribalist, just as writing about and condemning white racism doesn't make one a racist! To write about racism, one must mention what racists do. Same for evil minded Akan bigots and jingoists who spend their sad, waking lives insulting Ewes and people from northern Ghana.

To those of your generation who don't know, this man lived by the sword and therefore died by the sword! he was full of hatred in his heart for Ashantis and Akans in general and together with the rest of the Dzulakofe mafia (Kojo Tsikata, Tatsu Tsikata and the rest) masterminded the killing of prominent Ashantis like Gen. Afrifa etc. It's the long arm of God's justice that has taken him away. Look at where he fell; far away from home. We shed no tears for a quintinessential tribalist like Kofi Awoonor!

It did not denote peace or submission". Marshal Hodgson also reminds us that the English word "assassin" is purely of Arabic origin. It was originally "Hash shashin"{ or assassinus in Latin) meaning smokers of hashish(hemp) It referred to a certain sect of Muslims in the 11th-13th centuries who took hashish to receive enough energy to fight for Allah by killing non-Muslims including Christians and Jews and this received the approval of Muslims world even up to today. The question then is, who is this Allah? More in the offing.
