MPs are not in paliament to serve or help the president. The water, Toilets, roads and schools the MP promise he or her people should be what an MP fight for in paliament.
When MPs dont know the budget of their regions how can they know how much to spend.
NPP didnt do anything or say anything about how the country economy should grow and NPP didnt ask John Mahama to step down.
The petition by Nana Addo and co was not to make John Mahama do his job, the petition to the SC was to show the Electoral Comission rigged the elections. Its the EC not JM, if JM wants to get involve with EC and NPP petition nobody can stop him. Instead of JM to go and beg for money from Chinese he sit watching TV on SC petition. How many petitions has JM ever watch.
Ghana has Laws and if the president do follow the Laws who will. Our SC is not respected by JM and the Judges. JM was sworn in as president on 4 january 2013 by our SC judge.
Thats our highest judge and cant never overturn what they have decided. The most disrespectfull thing is Ghana having two presidents. Shame to MP and John Mahama for wasting all this time while ghanaians are suffering. How the price of Volta River water gone up? Why do you want to increase something we get free.
Our electricity from Akosombo dam is not for profit its to help ghanaians not to sell to them.

Can you believe that? So that's the mentality of many Ghanaians. I don't know if it's illiteracy, tribalism or plain idiocy, but if many of us continue to vote in elections as if we're doing so for a BEAUTTY CONTEST, we're going to be in this mess for a LONG TIME!!!

If you asked me for my opinion, I'd say many Ghanains should be disenfranchised because they lack what it takes to vote based on ISSUES. If one voted for a particular candidate because s/he saw that candidate as "handsome" rather than "competent", then that potential voter should be taught what elections are all about, otherwise, s/he should not be voting, because voting is NOT a beauty contest.

Anita De Sousa is the most foolish woman ever and the foolish ones in the country believe whatever she says.

NDC is made up of truants. Yes, I am afraid to use that demeaning word "truants" because they have this mentality that gathering a group of pigs and wresting power through dubious means, is what all governing is all about.

If Anita wants to blame NPP, she should rather blame the clueless leaders of her party whose sole aim is to borrow and share. Since coming to power, NDC had borrowed more than ay government since Kwame Nkrumah. It is on record that from 1966 to the time of president Kuffour, the national debts was $9 billion and NDC alone had ballooned the national debt to $43 billion and what have they done with the money? Did NPP push NDC to borrow that much?

Borrow and share is the main objective of this reckless party we have in power and no one is to blame than Ghanaians who voted for his "try-and-error-party".

As an objective observer, it is reasonable to assume that some foreign companies did not invest in Ghana over the first 8 months of the year due to the election petition. Foreigners didn't know what was going to happen so they shelved their investments. (If you don't think this is reaction is genuine, look at how Ghanaians acted on Aug 29th. It was like a holiday in Accra with many staying home.) However, if this was the only issue, we should be seeing a huge tidal wave of investment in Sept since the world didn't collapse after 29 August. But did it? If not, why?

Foreigners won't invest in a country where there are several things going wrong...such as:

* a weakening currency
* increased taxes and worse, lack of assurances that more taxes won't be implemented on successful businesses to deal with the widening fiscal deficit.
* erratic taxing at the local DCE level
* unstable water and electrical supply
* the threat of huge increases in both electrical an water prices since end of 2012.
* Gov'ts inability to get their hands around the wage bill. With 70+% going towards wages, infrastructure projects can't be funded by revenues but external debt.

We know this lady is just talking propaganda....but when does she expect things to 'turnaround' after the election petition failed?

Govovernace is neither a kindergaten business, nor a blame game. NPP inherited HUGE debt but with economic prudence through even HIPC the economy was turned around. Even perssimists will confirm this fact!!

The gov't has been given a responsibilty: to solve the country's problems. We don't care who created what, or did not do what, the problem MUST be seen to be tackled. There's TOO MUCH noise coming from the governing party. If the NDC thought being in power is to sit comfortably in offices and lay claim to booties and state resources while the people kowtow and worship you, then welcome to governace.

Blaming previous government after being in power for more than 4 years is tantamount to incompetence and failure. If NDC cannot handle the country's socio-economic problems it should give way to an alternative party which has the QUALIFIED human resources to do the job.

It's sicking to listen to BLAMES from the NDC everyday. Enough of the baseless noise!!
