Nothing is taking into consideration; whether he was first offender or not. This is the reason why we have so many prisoners in our overcrowded prisons why PEN thieves are walking on our streets.

Some Ghanaian Judges up to the Supreme Court need retraining and some are simply stupid and can't handle the power that being a judge gives them. We all hate thieves but this judgement is simply stupid. The guy could have been made to do something to benefit the nation or society as a punishment.

How on earth can a 10year sentence for snatching a mobile phone be justified.This poor guy is only 22years old and if the aim of prison is to reform then this guy will come out nearing 30years with only a 'degree' in more serious crimes from the Prison University, a possible First Class in Armed Robbery. How many years did Tsatsu get for plundering the country into unnecessary debt? Don't get me wrong thieves are nasty elements of every society but apart from murderes they are no worse that our public officials who line their pockets with state funds without remourse. Of course they have not been caughtyet. Am I allowed to appeal the length of sentence for this guy?
