I reserve the right as a citizen of Ghana to protect and defend my honour and integrity should this civilized challenge for the truth be ignored.

This is not the price I should be made to pay by the Government of Ghana for defending the Constitution of Ghana in the Waterville and Isofoton unconstitutional payments declared by the Supreme Court.

Until ignorant people like you realize that a president needs full cooperation and support of Ghanaians to formulate and implement prudent policies without unnecessary gridlock and political jostling, economic progress isn't going to come. the fruitless Sc case that grounded every economic activity in Ghana for months shares the greater blame for most of the stagnation today. Not that there were no other problems in the economy before. Love him or hate him, give the president the chance to formulate and implement his economic policies and if he fails at the end of his administration, give him his walking papers and he will find a living doing something else, But do berate him every single day with partisan nonsense and expect him to conjour economic progress from the heavens for Ghana.

Prez Mahama is his own enemy,you can't blame anybody else.It is the private sector that can help solve the economic challenges but not the public sector.Mahama must open up business opportunities for entreprises to become competitive,that means expand and create jobs.Mahama is making the same mistake like Rawlings by trying to collapse every private business in the country.Do you remember the Rawlings chain in the 80s?Do you now want Mahama's chain?Please review the banning of imported used fridges and tyres because the Advanced countries themselves use them alright.The poor people in the country need them badly, so why ban them.?Please,review the high customs charges in our ports because it is driving business away and killing the economy.Kindly monitor the port duties in our sister countries,you will see how the govt is collapsing trade here.Our entreprises cannot be competitive if we go on like this and the private sector will break down entirely.NDC have been in govt for long time and must know these basic economic principles that without competitve private sector the economic will fall on it's kneels.NDC better review their anti business policies to save the economy,it's not the World Bank or IMF but ourselves can make it better if we really want.Thank you.

It is purely because of the attitude of Ghanains that things don't appear to be getting better. Everyone wants quick fixes. But you know what? Quick fixes don't bring about tangible long term results. Allow the president and his team some breathing space to implement the many policies they were elected on and see if things don't improve. If I may say so Kwesi Pratt is not an economist and to say so boldly that if things don't change by this December it will be too late, smacks of hypocrisy. Take a look at the UK economy for example. When the current coalition government came to power in 2010 they implemented very harsh economic policies that meant a significant fall in wages in real terms, amid rising cost of living. Citizens have not stopped complaining since yet the economy is now beginning to turn a corner and winning the praise of reputable international bodies like the IMF, the world bank, and many credit agencies. The people are not happy but they allow the chancellor of the exchequer, their equivalent of our finance minister to get on with the job of fixing the broken economy. Economies are not like cars that you can turn round a corner at short notice. Economies often run in cycles and in many cases it takes a minimum of 6 months to start seeing the results of policies that governments implement. So I agree with our president. Be patient, allow his government some breathing space to implement various adjustments and if all fail then Ghanaians will punish them at the next election. What Kwesi Pratt should be doing is educating the population to be patient and allow changes to take effect, not give government the unguarded, uninformed warning that he wrote about. No one has ever fixed any broken economy in two months anywhere in the world so why should Ghana be any different?

Prez Mahama is his own enemy because he is the luckiest president with plenty of resources.The oil revenue if managed well can help us a lot.Mahama has himself to blame for collapsing lot of private business in the country.I don't think the Prime Minister in the UK is killing private business over there like here.We don't have to compare this economic hardship to that of America or Britain who are in deep crisis.Fortunately,our economy is one of the best in the emerging countries but the Policy makers have taken a wrong direction and decision to stifle private business.Somebody have to tell them that it is the private sector that can save the economy but not the public sector.We have all what it takes to move this country forward if we will stop closing down business,this is the root of all the hardships.Rawlings made the same mistakes by attacking private enterprises and in the end all the economy collapsed entirely.So please,let's tell the NDC govt to review some of the unrealistic high taxes and bans on certain commodities.Allow people to create jobs for themselves,govt cannot employ and feed everybody like in the communist places.We are in a free market economy,enterprises have to be competitive to survive,that means they need to expand.Please just sit down and monitor this Mahama's administration critically.They are not encouraging business at all but collapsing all the business through high taxes,bans and stupid restrictions.They better Wake up,they have nobody to blame anywhere.Thank you.

What this President is doing is simply many miles short of an effective third world President and like Agya Koo, nobody will listen to him or what he means. The solution - just jail the thieves from government ministers, church leaders, CEOs and all. Everyone knows that the style of this President is a far cry from what is needed of the President of this CORRUPTIBLE NATION. Either he is not listening or he is too book-long not to get it. For my last advice to our President, please listen to JJ and draft him in to sort out the rot. NO President can succeed when all the income generating heights of the economy is superimposed by criminality. So, please President, remove all those henchmen and draft in JJ as soon as possible. That will make a serious difference within weeks.

We must demand an end to this now. The government must sit up.
Declaration of assets in public by the presidency, custom officers, VCs, MP, members of public Boards, would help. There is no confidence in government officials. There is no a General Mahamadu BUHARI whose did not steal. Just take a physical look at the men ruling us, they need to think and act now. Focus on implementation quality wise.

What should Ghanaians expect when the fate of the nation has been handed over to "Truants"? Should we expect "magical powers" to do the work or it is the brain that should go to work and do Truants have brains at all else, why are they called Truants? Look at the entire Mahama administration, most of them are night watchmen guarding toilet but for the sake of their man, they have been called to man positions that they never dream off so, what result should we expect? Nothing.

If NDC wins another four year term, Ghanaians will chew their intestines and use their saliva as water. Mahama is living in a fool's paradise thinking that ruling is just pointing his finger into the sky then everything becomes okay. Mahama does not have the brains to do the work and he must admit it.

Even Acheampong's government was better. The government does not seem to now where they are heading this nation to, and it is very sad. If it is not because of ILLETERACY in Ghana, NDC will never even win 10% of votes in any election in Ghana but thanks to illiteracy. It is the same illiterates, who are the poorest who will vote for them and it is the same poor people who voted for NDC who will complain. These people needs no sympathy. Let them continue to vote for NDC and let them continue living in poverty. Time will tell.

A country whose hands are not working, posting low productivity will always feel the desperate need to borrow in order to buy, eat and drink. That is why there is an urgent need for Mahama to formulate immediate policies that will put the people to work, make them productive so that they will make money and give you more taxes for you to have enough in the national kitty to stop the slavish borrowing. But you cannot do this if you hand factors production which is your resources, land, sea, assets, time and everything to foreigners. I mean what is it that Mahama is not getting? He's getting all the advice from us and yet he's sitting down, doing nothing and calling more foreigners to come and take over the resources and assets at his disposal. Surprising, he then turn round to come and ask us for patient. You are doing the wrong thing and when you're told you won't stop. you rather come begging for patience. Always begging, begging for everything. When will you stop begging and do the right thing which will save you from the bashing

The idelogical core of NDC Party is against market economy, that was Mr. Rawlings agenda hence he was able to announce on the radio and television is his administration that nobody should buy Mr. Appiah-Menka's products. This is not a patroitic person yet people adore him as their messiah.

With the higher tax hikes in the country, forget about job creation for the coming graduates. Remember that one main purpose of investing is to make profit or good returns on your money but when the government is coming to take a huge chunk of your earnings, that will deter investors and at the long run it is the government looses that become unpopular.

The current Finance Minister - Mr Terkper is a fine gentleman but the job is not for him. Have you ever heard of him talking about job creation? Absolutley not. Always finding a way to tax people and spend it on about 500,000 public workers. This is insane. I will advise you to go back to your village and start a small cottage industry - like animal husbandry or go into cash crop farming. You will not regret. E&OE.

Mahama is a 'rabbit in headlights' when it comes to managing the country. Kwesi Pratt should know this. It has nothing to do with his personal preference for governance. The NDC have stolen the vote and gotten away with it but they have to deal with the reality of running a government and this is where they have failed woefully over the years. Truth be tols, they have no plans. They spend more than half their time plotting how to win elections by fair or foul means. Unfortunately the reality is that an efficient government must have solutions. Sadly this one has NO SOLUTIONS. Otherwise when you should be selling Ghana to an international forum President Mahama spends the time lamenting about the wrong prescriptions of the World Bank and IMF. Only a clueless President will do that. He is clearly overwhelmed and is unable to function.

The president should clamp on waste and corruption in the government and should also find the link amongst the large amount of bauxite, the oil and the VRA and I bet you, we will see some real progress by three years time.
