Since before I was born, the police have been mounting unnecessary road blocks for the sole aim of collecting bribes from drivers, and everybody is all too aware of the situation. It does not seem that anybody is doing anything about that, but we hear these police top brass keep on advocating for clean servicemen evey now and then! We are fed up. COP Kudalor himself has passed through the same route to his present position, and is all too aware of how it works. He should rather take steps to stop the practice, and the new recruits would not be tempted to join in.
These road blocks are everywhere - from Accra to Paga. Anybody who is in a position to stop the practice, and prepared to do it, would not have to go too far to encounter it.
While asking President Mahama to do something about corruption in the country, it must be the duty of everybody in any position of authority - including parents - to start from their corner. Then Mahama would be able to bring all efforts together. Otherwise, we are a dead nation!
