I don't understand what you and the Ghanaian priests and especially Pastor Bosumtwi are saying. The Archbishops did not endorse homosexualism, they are only asking these governments with draconian anti-gay laws to have a soft spot for homosexuals; not to hang and kill them. They said, God loves homosexuals too just like He loves all. For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.
If the church does not show the way of mercy, most of you writing in support of these illiterate pastors will one day accuse the church of complacency like the aftermath of the inquisition. In that era like today, witches and wizards were burnt at the stake.
Christians are not like Islamic terrorists, we teach the love of God to the intent that God hates the sin but loves the sinner.
Pastor Bosumtwi and his friends if lived during the days of Jesus would have joined the religious leaders of the day in condemning Jesus for eating with sinners.
Ghanaians make it seem like homosexualism is the only sin God abhors. What about the drunkards, lairs, fornicators, adulterers, like our President, murderers, like Rawlings, Pastors who take advantage of members of their flock, false prophets, azaaa pastors like Korankye Ankrah, corrupt politicians,etc?
We are only pointing fingers at homosexuals because they seem more vulnerable to us and have no one to defend them. But that to me is the greatest untruth, remember, Africa is not the first in the ongoing WAR against homosexuals. The countries speaking for them now, once rose in arms against them and failed.

It will surprise many to know that most of the against people like Bishop Eddie Long are undercover homosexuals.

If killings and laws can stop sins, homosexualism would have ended at Sodom.
Pastors, study the Word and be followers of Christ rather fatwa - issuing ministers.

I think the church should rather focus on deliverance and liberation of those who practice theses acts since one cannot rule out the machination of satan in these things.

We should join hands and pray for them ( Anglicans) so that the Holy Spirit will illuminate the minds and hearts of their leaders. They are leading them to Hell,this is not being judgmental( because clearly the evidence from scripture leads to that conclusion).
Like many preachers in Ghana today, the Bible is no longer the source of authority in matters of Faith ( Christian). Whereas in the case of the Ghanaian ministers ( self styled ones)this state of things may be attributed to the lack of knowledge of the bible, the same csannot be said for the Anglican Archbishop or ministers. Well, Paul said it all " and no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light, therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works" ( 2 Cor.11:14,15)
I watched the Archbishop ( Welby) on BBC last night talking to Zeinab Badawi and was inconsistent, evasive when asked these questions and the protest resgisted by the African communion. He claim he has his own views on the issue but as a collective he must tow the line of the institutionalised church.
"Word of God VS the doctrines of Men" this is the dilemma facing not only Anglicans, almost every religious group going under the name Christian Church.
Folks whether we like it or not, the Bible serves as THE TEMPLATE for all that we do in matters of faith/religion. Muslims have ther Koran as their TEMPLATE and so does several other faiths. Whiles these other faiths strive to adhere to their TEMPLATES, we are the only ones who toy with ours; because we operate under the notion that 'our God is gracious, kind, understanding and merciful!".
Homosexuality and its variances are all condemned by the "Christian" God and His church on earth ought to know and take a stand thus affirming His Will, yet His "church" is rather on the side of Satan, affirming and compromising on matters clearly stated without any ambiguity.
Genuine believers in this Anglican Community should rise up and be counted! They should return to the Bible, and do things the Bible way and order their lives in line with God's eternal Template .
Soldier's of Christ, Arise and put your armour on! The question today is " Who is on the Lord's side?"
