When a member of parliament comments on the lack of probity and accountability on parts of the colleagues as part of a house cleaning statement, they want to eat him alive. He calls it corruption and you call it LOBBYING!!! SHAME UNTO YOU GHANAIANS. We all know that some corruptions are difficult to prove as some cheating partners are difficult to catch. To suggest that there is a fine line between lobbying and bribery is to pretend the obvious does not happen and to endorse corruption.
First my conjecture is 1) there is bribery in Ghana and Ghanians are corrupt, and Ghanians stupidly greedy and unethical, 2) Some Ghanaian MPs are humans are they live in Ghana, and if some Ghanians are corrupt then some Ghanaian MPs are corrupt.
MPs are not saints, some have character flaws before becoming MPs and continue that life line.
It does not take ROCKET SCIENTIST to figure out that some Ghanaians of every class are corrupt.
Take the case of an opposition party chairman who appropriated his government bungalow for himself while in power and bought it. Then the judiciary supports him that he legally acquired the house therefore he did no wrong!! Is that not EXECUTIVE AND JUDICIARY CORRUPTION?
ONE MIGHT ARGUE OTHERWISE but this is a simple case of public morality case.
Does this action not laid down judicial precedence for legalized corruption?
PARTY CHAIRMAN APPROPRIATING PUBLIC PROPERTY!!! GIVE ME A BREAK, WHERE WAS THE SITTING PRESIDENT. NOW HE IS LEADING THE PARTY TO GAIN POWER AS CHAIRMAN? With judicial endorsement of his first action, he will sell the nation to Chinese investors!! Mark this down.
One should not forget that the chief judicial officer was appointed by the said chairman's party when in power.
Do we forget the 10% cut in awarding contract or we forgot the Woryome case?
Do we want to say there is bribery if only the case is established as true.
If this is the basis of truth, then Woryome is not sinner. Or do we forget the old adage of the fallen tree in the forest?
If the tree fell in the forest and we did not hear it did it mean it did not fell?
Hypocrites, leave Kingsford Bagin alone and set up commission of inquiry to probe cases of suspected looting. Make legislation to prevent government officials looting the treasury.
Shame unto you if do persecute the Truth (Bagin). He is an apostle of Truth don't muffle him.
The Legislature sits and endorses corruption because they are part of it.
