As for Kweku Baako he thinks he knows everything but he is clueless about many things.
Who told him National Security Coordinator does not talk to the media, does he think we are kids in Ghana?

The removal of Lt Colonel Gbevlo Lartey was a very grave error committed by the President.
If the President wants his government to succeed he should not behave this way.
Most Ghanaians are very intransigent individuals who need robust officials before complying with rules and regulations.
Would the president tell us what the Lt. Colonel did before his removal?
Most people would attribute his removal to the demolishing of the Legon University toll both.
BUT HE WAS DEAD RIGHT IN DEMOLISHING IT. Everyone who drove on that intersection that period would notice the chaos there; cars could not move, workers went to work very late, culminating in loss of production and reduction on productivity due to tiredness of workers who waited for long hours and got to work tired!

Does Kwaku Baako think all Ghanaians like his way of discussing issues or his newspaper? He can choose to dislike Gbevlo's style but other ppl like it. His views abt issues is not superior to anybody's views. It remains his personal opinion unlike others. But I do not blame him cos it is the Prez. who has given him this opportunity by replacing Gbevlo. So let Kwaku talk. The Prez. shd at times take his time in taking certain actions esp. abt dismissals. Some of his actions seems to support the views of the opposition as against his supporters. He shd not take opposition's views as tht of all Ghanaians but it seems tht is wht is happening. Jst imagine the Tweaa DCE. I don't see anything wrong with wht he did but see the action taken against him. His advisers shd be up to the task.

I sometimes get stomach crump with Kweku Baako's analysis. The reasons he's speculating seen childish. What sort of leaders do Ghanaians require? Those who are inactive when people engage in all sorts of behaviours that ruin our country? I think the best measure for the leaders of a typical black African country like Ghana is how much he is loved by the people. I bet you, the most loved leader is not a good leader in our parts of the world because he is someone who allows people to go their own way. Larry Gbevlo was up to his job. He had initiative and courage and that was demonstrated in the demolishing of the Legon toll booth. He did it as a duty of the institution that he heads without having to consult anybody. Institutions are charged with specific responsibilities and a leader may take an action in the best interest of the people and not his personal interest. Those who did not like his action and especially those who think such actions would ruin the fortunes of his party called for his head and now have it. But Larry Gbevlo will continue to be happy that at least he had served the interest of his people and not a few selfish interests. Prez Obama and all intelligent individuals know that what we need is strong institutions. Our govts can continue weakening our institutions by placing weak people in order to serve political party interests. We will continue to remain where we are or retrogress. That is the nature of the black African to which Kweku Baako and I belong. Afterall, who is Gblevlo Lartey to change the colour of the Ghanaian? Wash and dress the pig and he would go back into the mud.

NDC is a military govt. That job should go to a police man not a soldier. Though Gbevlo is a lawyer nevertheless soldiering is in his DNA.

National security is about ensuring the state is peaceful, the citizens are secure and can go about lawfully. Demolishing a toll booth, whether it was setup legally or not is not the job of a national security coordinator. If he has a need to do so, he should get a court order in a democratic country. The university, though is a public institution, if its management had deemed it lawful to erect a toll booth, and someone thinks otherwise, they should take it to court and get an order to remove it. It is only under a dictatorship that the toll booth could be removed the way it was done. Even though I might not like the toll booth, at least on this one the President has shown leadership and his democratic credentials. Good job.

In the era of globalisation, yopu neeed more than a quiet soul to deal with issues of national security. Do you want the boko Haram situation in Ghana?
People like Kweku Baako are safe and comfortable. The res of us are not. We needed Gbevlo Lartey's style to make sure we are safe. This change is suspect. NDC should watch the way the nation is being governed. else, come 2016, some of us will change our minds. Bring Gbevlo Lartey back.
