Fixed interest rates have failed the world over. This is why we have a central bank that is supposed to take actions that could control interest rates, inflation and the currency. All they do is take orders from illiterate politicians whose personal and political interest supersede those of the nation. One told me recently they have to protect their daily bread. You bet. It is for the same "daily bread" psyche that Ghana will never move from where it is.

I'm sure you remember Ghana seizing a Argentina boat in Tema for a hedge fund that held bad Argentina bonds..Ghana's currency is worst in Africa and think they said in world.. So when mahama and ndc are kick from office or IMF requires staff cuts in gov and pay cuts, maybe intrest rates will begin to reduce as Ghana pays down debt or goes back like Kuffour did and get if forgiven!

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

when Ghana student applys for school(university or technical) They school in USA have company investigate where the diploma or certificate came from to see if it fake school..Plus student is given english &math & science ent ...

when Ghana student applys for school(university or technical) They school in USA have company investigate where the diploma or certificate came from to see if it fake school..Plus student is given english &math & science entrance exam..depending on school if they fail they are allowed to take english/math or science prep course..If the non-english (french/arabic etc) Then they probably won't enroll them..Even USA students that quit school before Graduating grade 12 can take GED course and test and thats suppose to be equal to high school diploma...Nursing students have to start all over or work and bottom level...My wifes sister studied at Knust for 2 years,then UK for 2 years and USA didn't accept UK work, so she is a nurse aid..while my sister with 6 years of university is RN (registered nurse) so she manages Nurse aides & LPN's
