It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

I believe that when a committee such as the Appointment Committee has made a decision on a prospective candidate they have the responsibility to give (s)for their decisions being it 'YES or NAY' to the public. However, for the individual of the committee who is 'PRIVY' to the meetings or the interview to start re-marking the 'examination papers' in public is not only irresponsible but questions the authority and the competence of the Appointment Committee. If the candidate was not capable or did not meet the requirement for the job, why did they hire him anyway?.

It is like how the corrupt S/C Judges led by Justice Atuguba voted to confirm corrupt Mahama as President.

The whole of parliament especially the minority leader must bow their heads in shame. If u genuinely believe he lied under oath lets charge him for perjury. How can u claim he lied and still went ahead to approve him? How can any serious nation allow liars to be ministers and yet when things go wrong we turn and blame the prez. This attitude will lead us nowhere except to corruption. If spio lied, it means he can't be trusted and should not have been approved.

I completely endorse the advice of the Minority Leader. Spio is palpably egoistic. To start with, he should stop using the "Dr" prefix as he did not earn a doctorate. Secondly, he should stop behaving like he is superman. Until he became the CEO and after him nobody really hears about Commonwealth Telecommunications.... whatever organization he headed. This is a non-starter diplomatic organization with no impact on any member-country but he goes touting it as his best achievement with money. Then he started worming round his infamous Team B mantra. He is a liar and overconfident bully.

Why is he carrying that title Dr. as if he has written a thesis before ? If he wants to use that title he should indicate that is honorary doctorate just like ones awarded to JJ Rawlings , Akwasi Appiah etc.
