Professor Jane Naana, could you remember that Rawlings used the TUC and its workers as a launching pad to overthrow the government of Liman fraudulently? Could you also remember that he used to take 'Kenkey' to Legon to demonstrate how the size had shrunk under Liman, and we ended up with "Rawlings Chain" in the PNDC regime but nobody could talk? And could you also remember that Nkrumah used to incite workers to strike against the Whiteman and later on outlawed strikes and said they were unpatriotic in his regime when the economic situation was genuinely difficult for workers?

I don't believe NPP is behind the strikes. But if the allegations are true, then they are surely not doing so to overthrow any regime unlawfully. They may be highlighting the failings and excesses of the NDC government, hopping that it would translate into votes for the party in the next elections. And that is in fact, a genuine politics. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under the NDC's government is unbearable, and NPP could be seizing the opportunity to convince Ghanaians including the workers not to vote for NDC in the next elections. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with highlighting the failings of an incapable government in order to wrestle power from them democratically.

The monies collected from workers have virtually disappeared, and that Thomson guy at SSNIT is not to be trusted. He is a vampire, and his brother is the other Thomson that was a CEO at STC, and has been removed this year by workers for pension funds and other wrongdoings. Until the "Big" Thomson at SSNIT is also removed, the extent of the damage done to workers' pensions in this country will never be known. SSNIT is bankrupt under Mr. Thomson and the monies have been misused.

The only lasting solution to this impasse is to send BNI to SSNIT to investigate and unearth the stinking rot, and skeletons that are kept in their big cupboards. What they will find will send every Ghanaian into the street calling for "blood to flow". Unfortunately, the government itself seems to have a hand in the malfeasance, and that is the expected impediment workers would have to face.

Tuition fees= money to pay for teaching services like teaching, marking, invigilating, etc. Your pay nothing.

Books and accommodation= subsidized by gov't with either poor farmers money or loans. What you pay is only for the value of maintenance, ie, if your little demon kids damage the books or buildings.

Another payments= PTA dues, Building funds. Etc based on needs of the school.

Now tell us, what do you want Nana Zuma to pay for with his own money, remember you are unproductive.

After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

I don't blame her. She has been insulated from the realities of the Ghanaian situation a couple of weeks after she had given advance questions to one of the presidential debaters. She got a ministerial appointment thereafter, corrupting her profession and conscience.

Never think u are in government so u all agree to what pleases ur government.U act because u think u are in power.Look at how much u take hme after jxt 4yrs but u turn around to rip off de poor Ghanaian worker of even de little he earns.
