John is himself the number one thief, so how can he discipline thieves. He has to steal to look after his 23 or so children. Therefore all hands on deck. All appointees must must take whatever they can grab. This man is simply unfit to be president.

Ghana will definitely be better off without John Mahama. The monies being given to our very stupid chiefs is stolen money. it is monies that should go to repair our roads.

Let's hope, Pratt is not here forcing the leadeship's hand into that we have in the opposition; no direction whatsoever! And we must understand first-hand: there is no nation here self sufficiency in 'power' generation. The DUMSOR beat would be solved momentarily if the ECG opted for 'raising' the power usage rates, and the leadership isn't prepared to 'impose' such on Ghanaians.
We are smart and very much aware, of power grid problems in the World; Ghanaians are not going to choose a leadership, based on insufficiency of power supply. What we are lacking is the education on the supply of the energy.

Could somebody please tell Mr. Kwesi Pratt Junior here that the "dumsor" fiasco has been with us since Kwame Nkrumah left our political platform and as such, Mahama's led NDC administration is giving her all to fix the problem bedevilled the energy link in our infrastructure quest once and for all and on behalf of the people of Ghana before 2016 come smiling upon us.

I had hoped he would have taken the opportunity to berate harshly about those who did nothing about this very situation when they were given their fair shake at our presidency, but that obviously was not his reason for coming out to open his mouth widely. Well Kwasi, Rome, I learnt was never built in a day and if all have done their little bit, then Ghana would not have been in this predicament we famously read about today.

Can anyone in Ghana in the know confirm if every staff at Eletricity Corp of Ghana, VRA, GRIDCO and others responsible for the generation, distribution of electricity and collection of usage fees subject to termination with change in party running the Ghana government? If not can anyone clarify and stipulate which of the past governments is liable or should carry much of the blame for the inadequate generation of electricity and inadequate distribution grid in Ghana? Anyone who is capable of reading with comprehension local and world news would understand the pros and cons of the lower crude oil pricing. There seems to be many uninformed Ghanaians who think there is a direct correlation between prices at the pump and other products of refined oil and crude oil prices which is not true. There is at least a potential 6 months lead time or lag time between crude oil prices and refined oil prices. Pratt and other talking heads and critiques in Ghana seem to ignore the ignorance in political parties and their ideologies that brought Ghana to its current economic and social turmoils. We have had electricity generating and distribution problems in Ghana since 1966 and so why now in 2014 or 2015 must the current government be made to pay a price for a nation that followed the lead of fore parents of the NPP that brought us the 1966 coup without a return of any value to Ghana or to the Ghana brand? If we claim to have gained democracy and multiparty system with our new found freedoms then we must learn the first rule of democratic tennets which calls for an educated and well informed voting public. We have no democracy because we have an ill-informed and under informed citizenry and a dubious ideology of democratic values, practice and procedures and therefore expect things from government that must be paid for but we are unwilling and incapable of sustained funding.
