A former state of Minnesota Republican representative Michelle Bachmann was a demagogue, unprincipled and a loudmouth hypocrite who questioned US President Obama's citizenship even while she and the Swiss husband were in the process of obtaining her Swiss citizenship while she run to earn the right to compete as the Republican challenger to Obama. Here in Ghana we have had a loud mouth unprincipled hypocrite in Ursula Owusu who continues to represent people in Accra all the while knowing that her marriage to a now British citizen of Ghanaian parentage or birth will make her a candidate for British citizenship. But the issues of loyalty or allegiance which is proverbially spelt out even in the Christian Bible seems not to matter to these transcontinental twins while they hypocriticaly question to moral stance of others in their respective nation states.
Is it the professional opinion and legal opinion of Ursula Owusu, a politician and practicing lawyer, that it is the duty of politicians to comment on criminal issues to bring clout or awareness to the seriousness of gender based assaults and degradation?
While I may not buy into the accusations and counter defense offered in the KKD saga the only thing that is for sure about the case is a display of moral decadence in our society that seems to give rich and or famous men the power and expectations of sexual attractions from Ghana's female population irrespective of age, status or background. We know a section of the Ghanaian female population have seen nothing that will deter them from achieving fame, money or social clout with all they've got to offer. In my book a woman of good moral standing never goes into a bathroom with a man, especially not in a hotel, to help with anything and surely not with a man you become acquainted with less than 24 hours.
Ursula Owusu cannot address the bigger moral issue at hand because it would expose her to the same societal reach for money, fame and property seeking that belies the desire of women in Ghana to more likely pursue relationship with men in the Diaspora than the man next door they see and may know more about.

And why are some people supporting such morally wrong and unacceptable behavior? I think that anyone who sleeps with an underage girl is not only a disgrace to our society but had no morals and must not be treated with any form of respect!! This is a very common practice in Ghana and most seen in our higher institutions of learning, offices, schools must be condemned by all.
I think the men must use their money more profitably by supporting charitable societies like the Red Cross which will benefit society. There must be a law to stop these immorally unacceptable behaviors. The ironic is the most of our politicians, CEOS, Chiefs and some lecturers are all engaged in this behavior and will not come out to condemn it. Poor them

Ursula Owusu is not happy that the Minister did not chime into the the rape case of KKD. Ursula is a lawyer by profession, as well as a Member of Parliament. Ursula should know that it's not appropriate for the Minister to comment on the matter since it's a pending court case. Had the Minister commented on the case, Ursula would have been the first to jump out and condemn the Minister for doing so. A rape case is not a political case. It's hard understand what exactly Ursula wants. If you're disturbed about how the victim and her family are being portrayed in the media, then you have every right to speak out in the media about such instead of questioning why the Minister has been silent. TShe may be the Minister of Gender, but that position does not require that she make comments on a pending rape court case. Ursula's call is misplaced. You claim you were overwhelmed. Overwhelmed with what?
