  His Excellency, if he wasn't only trying to be diplomatic, should first have told us hold he is so that we have a fair idea how long ago it was when he was nine years. Of course we all know that there was a time when there was no electric power at all in the whole world, U.K. inclusive.
  
  We're also aware that when his ancestors were first coming to our part of the world they didn't do so by jet planes or Titanic-class cruise ships.
  
  He should spare us his lessons in diplomacy.

  IT IS EASIER TO BLAME SOMEONE THAN FACE THE FACT MANY DEVELOPING COUNTRIES ARE IN THE SAME PREDICAMENT. NOT ENOUGH POWER TO GO AROUND. POWER GENERATION MEANS MONEY AND RESOURCES WE DONT HAVE.

  The dumsor debacle is a sign of failure to plan or keep up with plans. Infrastructure need constant repair, maintenance and expansion to keep up with age and a growing population. After electricity will be a water crises, then roads, then health facilities , then schools and universities.....If we do not learn from this and change our ways. Technocrats and experts employed by the state need to stop playing to the wims of politicians and give them true and unbiased advice.
