LMVCA don't like the law when it does not work for their agenda. What you get in disobeying police order is sometime a bullet, others times it is just an arrest and this time is the cane, next time it may be a slap in the face or punches to the head. Police protection acts are enacted any and all democratic countries. The safety of police office takes priority over your life. If you don't know this already, go read your country's laws located in parliament. Every democratic society needs the police to be safe and strong to keep the whole country safe. If individuals take matters into their own hands, they risk confronting the police. And when you confront the police the results is almost always not in your favor.

The police are authorized to use up to lethal force to maintain public order. Police can only be held liable only if a person or persons are brought totally and completely under control and then are killed. Or prisoners are subjected to deprave treatment at the hands of the police. At the time of been beaten this gay were not under arrest and restrained. They still pose danger to the police so what do the expect. To get away with their waywardness?

First obey the laws of the land then you can seek redress. If you fight the law, the law always wins.

LMVC as an entity cannot sue a government institution for doing its job; they can certainly try to register acts of brutality against individual police officers where they could show and prove abuse beyond reason.

The problem I find with LMVC is that they are not the mouth piece for Ghana's voting public and cannot prove harm in any court if they cannot prove injury related to their votes. And if they cannot prove injury because of the voting process they could be liable for causing unwarranted expense to the police.
