Is she for real? What kind of nonsense is this? If she cannot distinguish and clean out the names of minors in the voters register, she should hire me with no experience in such matters, as a consultant to fish out minors from the register. I wonder if she has ever heard of the national ID card.

After having been appointed, she has only thus far continued to waffle around incoherently and has tried her damnedest best to evade addressing the critical issue of the need to overhaul the voters register. Afare-Gyan, in cahoots with the NDC have messed up the voters register in such a bad way that nothing short of a new one will satisfy all parties - including the very crooks who do not see the need for a new one.

Something tells me that the EC has qualitatively degenerated from frying pan to fire.

The NDC tricksters are again trying to blindfold Ghanaians in order to rig the 2016 elections because they know they have failed miserably and Ghanaians want them out.

NDC has never accepted that the voters' register was bloated and corrupted. In fact, they claimed it was clean, credible and ready for use in the 2016 elections. We can only deliberate on whether to change or clean the present voters' register when we all know and accept that there are problems with the register, and the magnitude of the problem will determine which of the options to choose. How can NDC advocate for cleaning the voter's register when it refuses to accept that it is tainted and corrupted?

The NDC/EC league should have investigated the corrupted and boated register allegations to make sure that they exist before embarking on the solicitation of views on whether to go for a new voters' register or clean the present one. How do you clean something you don't believe it exists in the first place?

Cleaning or changing the voters' register will depend on the magnitude of the problem as we have stated earlier. Whereas NPP believes the problem is huge and requires a new register, the NDC party denies existence of any problem in the register and yet advocates for cleaning it. So, what do they want to clean?

If they did not investigate and find that the submissions had grounds, why waste our time with this forum? You have written what you have because no formal word has come from EC whether or not the allegations are true or bogus. To say that parents of minors who register should be punished does not take away the fact that there are minors in there. Afari Gyan could not account for 500000 people registered abroad. How can they be "surgically" removed if we don't even know who the "patients" are? Jokers!

Mahama can proudly state that he will win the 2016 elections. He is right, even if he campaigns for a month, he will wine, because he has the machinery in place to win. Charlotte Osei does not care. What I will say though is that there could be blood shed and I am sad that anybody should because of corruption. Already a person has lost one eye and the election has not even started. Why? Ghana why?

Get your surgical equipment ready then: get your scalpel, retractors,scissors and forceps ready then. Where are the patients to be surgically operated on? Afari Gyan does not know and could not give them to us. An impossible task!

Do we audit that compromised voters register and where do we begin? And who says, auditing the register would address the inherent default of a compromised voters register?
Clearly, auditing it, cleaning it and all the various other methods thrown out there cannot in anyway cure the compromised default status of the voters register.
The only way is to compile a new, credible voters register and not to tinker with a bloated register whose default status is credibility deficient(CD).
Ghana should embark on this process now instead of the needless and unnecessary waste of time on unnecessary and needless debates and talk-shop.
