An elated Terkper further told the House “government secured its fourth Eurobond at a coupon rate of 10.75 percent with a maturity of fifteen years” adding that, the bond is “a soft amortizing bond to be repaid in three installments of US$333 million in years 2028 and 2029, and US$334 million in 2030.”

Rebutting the minister’s presentation on the bond in a Citi News interview, however, Dr Bawumia was shocked the former was not saddened government had secured the bond at 10.75 percent.

“The Eurobond issue of 10.75 percent, the billion dollars issue of 15 years.
You are going to be paying 10.75 percent. When you should be crying, you are rather saying you have done very well and it shows a fundamental lack of understanding. It is a very bad deal for the country. 8 percent above US treasuries, compared to 3.8 percent above US treasuries when we [NPP] did the 2007 budget so that area is really a sad area of mismanagement. Then you look at the debt stock that this is accumulating.”

“This debt stock will reach $99 billion by the end of this year. The interest of this debt alone is going to be 6 times Ghana’s oil revenue,” he argued.

We wonder how they would account for all these amounts because; the so-called development projects and services don't match the huge amounts received by the NDC administration. On top of that, Ghanaians are going through unprecedented hardship comparable only to the period of PNDC's Rawlings Chain because of Mahatma's incompetence and corruption.

Fifi Kwetey was one minister in charge of economic planning and development but not once did he open his mouth to outline a strategy or encourage investments in key sectors rather all we heard was propaganda bullshit. . It rotten and stinks to high heaven that true Akan statesmen and intellectuals of proven achievement such as Kofi Annan or Sam Jonah have distanced themselves . Any Akan who has made the naive mistake of joining has been hounded like a dog like Mills , or been setup to take a fall or ended up being falsely accused. Yes there is no party politics rather tribalism and an ongoing undeclared war against Christians , Akans and any who dare think with a free mind. Only a fool believes that a regime born in the blood of the innocent will end with the ballot box , it can only end in war. Our election is going to be rigged with the help of the treacherous traitor Nzema EC and the violence that follows will be used as another opportunity to kill more Akan intellectuals or potential leaders .The revenue of the govt is over 80% used to pay wages that are on the level of pocket money for a teenager anywhere else in the world but still they refuse to do what is necessary to raise the standard of our people because they believe the people weakened by poverty also loose the will to fight back against oppression and injustice , a collective Stockholm syndrome where the victims become willing perpetrators of crimes together with their captors . A miserable state of affairs indeed . As usual these pepeni /ayigbe criminals and their satelite allies such as the some Gas , Adas etc will try to insult me instead of challenging the truths , lately i laugh since they have progressed from calling me a madman , vulgarities against my ancestors or parents to openly calling me NDC . Moreover, you can’t account for these monies that you are saying boastful.
If you have raised all these revenues you are swaggering off, why is your government running to IMF for bailout? Why is your government struggling to pay some section of public workers, especially the nurses and the junior doctors?

You see, one must be trusted, credit worthy and above all, good looking to receive loans. One cannot go to lenders with dentures falling out of his mouth with uncontrollable running nose like a two-year old child and expect to be taken seriously or even granted loans.

Another point is that, Global Lenders know what is happening in every country so if you approach them for loans, they would look at several things before granting or rejecting your request.

In fact, President Mahama must be doing very well to qualify for all these loans.

Raising more revenue internally that has no interest burden is different from inordinate loans that are not self-liquidating and have adverse economic consequences in the long run. Mahama should shut up from issues he has no analytical mind to predicting their consequential implications. He should simply know that Economics is not History. Being a Prez does not mean you knowledgeable on every issue than everybody. Stop the empty pride and listen to the experts in steering the country on good economic course. There is this perception which is some ways seems justified that John Mahama takes their World Bank for retards and it is worrying.
John Mahama claims Dr. Bawumia is chastising him for being able to raise record revenues and he should rather be patting him on the back for raising such record revenues, since those revenues are used for public works and he went on to list a number of social intervention programs the funds are used for.
But the record shows, in spite of these record revenues John Mahama has raised, about 90% of the social intervention programs have all failed and collapsed. Statutory payments backed by acts of Parliament are all in arrears and have collapsed.
And this is not specific to any one location, but all across the country, even in the NDC World bank, Ghanaians of all walks of life, from different political persuasions have all felt the pains of these collapsed under-funded programs/ so called public works, in spite of the record revenue raised by John Mahama's NDC govt.
The question is why has John Mahama raised so much record revenue but the systems have collapsed and are not working?
Raising record revenues to steal is definitely the problem here.
The mass cocoa spraying exercise for example as we speak, has collapsed with its attendant decrease in the production of cocoa, a major foreign exchange earner for this country. One need not belabor the consequences of this on our economy.
The idea John Mahama would go to the Volta region and make this kind of argument shows he does not respect Ghanaians in not only the Volta region but in every nook and cranny of this country. He insulted the intelligence of the members of his party in the Volta region and it was not right. It was needless and clearly it shows, John Dramani Mahama has lost the plot and just cannot govern this country.
Raising record revenues to loot, borrowing record amount of loans to thieve has never been a very sensible approach to holistic development that translates inot better living standards of the people. John Mahama has failed in that test and he will be fired at the ballot box in 2016

There are so many projects in the country which have not be completed but you have chop the money for the project already. If all these loans you have collected were used to do and complete the projects you always talk about Ghana would have been one of beautiful countries in west Africa. It's equally criminal to watch SADA, GYEEDA, USB and the NSS looters to loot the same revenue. It's a crime to used some of the revenue to buy equipments to be used by you brother in a bogus deal. It's criminal to rent two barges with our revenue knowing very well that the DUMSOR problem is not additional capacity but financial. Mr. President, you committed a cardinal sin when you allowed Merchant Bank to be sold for peanuts to investors linked to you. It's equally criminal to use the taxpayers money to conduct a political tour shrouded as a presidential tour. It's also a crime Mr. President to plug the nation in unprecedented debt resulted in your bogus loans. Generations to come would be cursing you dead or alive because you've Mortgaged their future. Mr. President, it's a crime to in competently waste all the revenue you collected. Last but not the least, it's a crime to mismanaged Ghana economy period.

Then what happens in the situation when all the registerd voters couldnt cast their vote but the number of ballot papers in the ballot box exceeds the total number of vote cast? How can someone who has participated in elections for about 37 years give this definition? The truth is important not propaganda. Is he giving a new definiton to his favour or it is what the electoral law says?
