There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

All Ghanaians know that NDC doesn't have what it takes to solve the challenges facing Ghana. P/NDC usurped power from Liman in 1981 and wasted 20 years of our national life without any tangible result before NPP came and improved the situation dramatically.
Unfortunately, the NDC party was given another chance in 2009 with new oil revenue to try again, but the result so far has been HIPIC, "Domsor", low production, unprecedented corruption, currency depreciation and over-taxation, resulting in unprecedented hardship and hunger with another "Rawlings' chain".
NDC should therefore be shown the door come 2016 with a promise not to ever come back again.

There is therefore no justification whatsoever for increases in utility tariffs. This is blatant rip off of the already impoverished and suffering Ghanaian taxpayer who is being made to pay for services which is not even available.
This sate of affairs would never happen anywhere in the world and it is time for Ghana to rise up against this state of recklessness and irresponsibility on the part of the John Mahama NDC gov't. It is unacceptable, completely untenable and totally unjustifiable.
Ghanaians cannot and will not subsidize the incompetence and mismanagement of a clueless gov't on the back of increasing utility tariffs.
This is a siege mentality of the failed vision and policies of the corrupt John Mahama NDC gov't and should have no place in our development paradigm.
The unacceptable utility tariff increases must be rescinded to reflect the realities on the ground which does not support any utility price increases.
