Ama Buoh, where is your humanity? Are you so callous that you would deny another human the right to breathe free? Your ignorance about global affairs is astounding. You are just like the rest of them, spewing venom without doing due diligence. Ghana is not an island; we are a member of the international community and we are expected to cooperate when ugly problems like terrorism raises their heads. When a rich and powerful entity such as the United States come and ask a poor nation like ours for help to solve a problem that plagues the world, it is in our own interest to cooperate. The hue and cry over the decision to accept the two men are grossly misplaced.

Other nations,namely Uruguay, Kuwait, Qatar and some Eastern European nations have accepted high level former detainees from Gitmo and nothing in terms of retaliatory violence has been recorded or committed. So, asserting as you so naively did, that our country has been put at risk is absolutely hogwash, nonsense and just plain silly.

And you and the other crybabies should remember this very important fact; terrorists thrive under anonymity, but that advantage has been removed from these guys(if they plan to attack us at all). Ghana has the edge, why? Because the men will be monitored 24/7....their every movement scrutinized, analyzed and acted upon. So, your fear is just wrong.

What is more, there is no evidence to indicate that those who were held in Gitmo actually committed the crimes for which they were arrested and thrown in jail for well over 12 years.

Whilst EU is twisting THE ARMS OF other EU countries to accept these refugees and they are refusing why is it that Ghana can play Mr. Goody Goody and accept them. Hosting refugees is a lot of responsibility and right now, Ghana is going through high unemployment, lack of water, houses, medical care and basic human neccesities, so how can they accept refugees. Ghana might think that the money which EU or Un will give for these refugees is a lot and if that be the case, why is it that countries like Turkey is rejecting EU proposal? why are the GuLf states with their oil money and the same culture and religion not accept these people? I feel really sad that NDC is taking a lot of decisions without thinking ahead of the implications of their actions or the consequences of the effect on their own people.Europe has got a lot to offer these people and it is their responsibility as they caused the problem in the first place.How many Ghanaians are being allowed into Europe at the moment' though many unemployed youths would like the opportunity they are denied this, so why should Mahama and his administration sell Ghana down the river? There are 2 types of security threat posed by this thoughtless action by the Mahama government. One is to expose Ghana's neutrality is a sham policy that can be thrown out at any time if the right incentives to abandon the policy are produced. Certainly the US, through Africom, has offered the incentives. These may include a guarantee that the US will support the Mahama government even if it embarks on vote-rigging or arresting of opponents through violent acts carried out by NDC agents provocateurs.

In addition, the action has branded Ghana as a participant of the anti-Islamic front organised by the USA. Thus front has divided the Islamic world, with Saudi Arabia leading one side and Iran the other. Does Ghana want to be caught in the middle of such a nasty struggle? It should be telling them "a plague on both your houses".

This is the time for NDC MPs to repudiate their Government\s unpatriotic action. They don't have to support their Government even if it is driving Ghana into a suicide pact with international murderers.
