Very sad that the church of elders and the rest of the innocent Ghanaians have not yet figured the Mahama,s agenda. First of all the president knows he will go scot free for all he has stolen due to his immune status after his term in office. Secondly he knows this is his only term and he and his 19 brothers and sisters, friends and colleagues have to gather as much wealth as possible to enjoy till kingdom come. It is therefore not a surprise that without any consultation, he accepted the millions put forth by the US and the international community to give asylum to the world most dangerous criminals without hesitation. He did it to serve his greed for money. Secondly, these guys are bomb making experts, so he can use them to train his faithful foot soldiers so he can send the squad after his enemies especially Nana Akufu Addo. John Mahama on the 30th October,2003 in Parliament spoke vehemently against the signing of this agreement sighting future repercussions just like we are faced with today on the terrorists issue. Hon. Alban S.K Bagbin led minority were "defeated" by the NPP and the agreement was signed in 2003 with Hackman Owusu pending his signature for Ghana. Today the USA has used clauses in that same agreement to TRANSFER their prisoners to us and we are here blaming innocent John Mahama. One major concern John Mahama raised on the floor of parliament at the time was the fact that the agreement had no termination clause meaning you sign it for life!!! Today the Ghanaian will wake from sleep to the reality that he has a "reformed" terrorist leaving next door. Executive presidency doesn't mean decisions that have chances of causing contingent damage to the people should be accepted at all cost? The two persons left their country voluntarily to fight in Afghanistan and were captured in the act. What conditions are then preventing them from going back to their country of origin, Yemen? The presidency is not wiser than the majority of Ghanaians, who are against the deal and should therefore be reversed.

For the Jihadi, it has always been their wish that their brothers who have been wrongly detained are released. So, the policy of Obama to release all detainees of Gtmo I believe would equally go a long way to improve USA foreign relation. This is especially so because, they have always viewed their continuous detention without charges as unlawful and a breach of their fundamental human rights. So, in a sum, the Jihadi would rather view their reception in Ghana as one of the ways to complete freedom rather than being antagonistic-at least Ghana is serving as a catalyst for their long awaited freedom.
