The Electoral Commission's independence is actually being used as an excuse for doing exactly what the framers of the constitution wanted to prevent.

The framers were aware that government of the day could abuse its incumbency to interfere in electoral matters to make it easier for it to rig elections. As a result, they made the EC independent in order to prevent the government from doing so.

What is happening in Ghana today is the opposite. The NDC government is intimately in bed with the EC and the so-called "independence" is being used against all the other stakeholders in favour of the incumbent. Do we need another 100 years to rule ourselves as Donald Trump said? What a shame!

You are disgrace to be the head of any organization. Every head of an institution is expected and supposed to listen to suggestions and ideas from his or her subordinates. The fact that someone makes a suggestion does not mean that you should accept it, but you should be accommodating. It appears, you are one of those who still have that colonial era mentality. You should be fired from your current job instantly. You are a hindrance to growth and improvement in life itself. I have pity for your children and wife.
