To think that a person of this caliber can climb within the the largest opposition party in this country to become Chairman is worrying. And I dont mean to say that politicians are not capable of such criminal acts. What I mean is that the utterances of this Afoko guy are so asinine and daft that it beats my imagination.

It appears that the NPP hierarchy is itself, so bereft of intelligent, decent and sensible people that to think that they are the most-likely alternative to the incompetent and thieving Mahama led NDC kills my hopes for the future of this country.

If you take the current Ag. Chairman, Blay, out of the executive of the NPP, what you have left is chaff who at best, can sit in the studios of radio stations and launch invectives at members of other parties. In effect, people who should actually be operating at constituency level and definitely not at the national level of the management of the party.

If the NPP does not clean up its act, in the very near future, they will, like the NDC, go down the doldrums of the history of this country. Apart from the fact that their chosen ideology is unpleasant and cannot guarantee true independence and development, it is true that the NPP has got some extremely good functionaries, some of who were appointed as Ministers during the Kufuor govt. Bawumia for example is probably the most outstanding politician on the Ghanaian political landscape today. But beyond that, the rest of the party reeks and smells to the high heavens just like the entire NDC - and if they the NPP do not want to sink to the level of the NDC in the near future then they had better sit up, think and restrategize.

Seeing that the NPP lacks political Czars, I will give them some good old Nkrumaist advice that can serve them well in the future.

For starters, they (the NPP) should divert a substantial amount of their energies and resources into re-building the grass-roots of their party and encourage enlightened people with with the kind of class pretensions that the ideology of the party aspires to. Of course, this they can do after the elections.

Much as I am ideologically opposed to what the NPP stands for, as someone who wishes well for my country, it is my hope that political parties of whatever aspirations are geared towards lifting the long-suffering people of this country from the dire conditions of poverty to a level expected of human beings.

This cannot be achieved with the quality of characters such as Afoko et al.

How on earth can you vehemently say your brother is not guilty of the murder when preliminary investigations by the Police have made us aware that your brothers's dress he wore that night had traces of acid in them when the put to forensic scrutiny?
Stop hurting the sensibilities of the bereaved family and Ghanaians at large. If you dare try to influence the course of justice in the current dispensation, you should rest assured that any future honest government will re-open the case for justice to take its course.
Please, let justice take its course now in order not to bring about any future feud between the Afoko and Mahama families .
Your brother is not more human than the late Mahama therefore you better shut up and let the criminal justice system of the country do an unbiased work. Eyes are keenly watching.
