There is no need for the statement of Blay. You need not break a law to create an awareness. The Police doors are always open, so if it became necessary to the NPP that they needed police protection for their candidate they should have gone with that request to the Police and also at the Interparty Advisory Committee. by jumping the gun and engaging in this unnecessary heightening of tension in the country, no body is impressed with this later confessions.

NPP never requested protection for its flagbearer. The NPP still refuses to admit that it brought the three South Africans into the country under dubious reasons. These are foreign security personnel that the NPP was bringing into Ghana to supposedly train NPP's security employees. Why then the NPP fail to disclose this to the Ministry of Interior if it had nothing to hide? Blay is just an empty noise maker. I bet the NPP made a formal request for protection from the Ghana Police only after its suspicious South African guests were discovered performing unauthorized services and subsequently deported.
