This is manslaughter. The policemen did not set out to kill the boy. They genuinely thought they were doing their work but they unfortunately went overboard, resulting in the death of the boy. This is sad.

If he fought the police and resisted arrest, it could be manslaughter but if he submitted to the arrest but they decided to beat him, that is second degree murder. It can not be a first degree murder because the police officers did not pre-meditate i.e. they did not plan the murder before chasing Tawiah

For all you know, somebody might have recorded what happened. From what we have so far read, the Police did not behave professionally. Now, I wish the parents or family of the Tawiah sue the Police service, The IGP and also press criminal charges against the said policemen. The only time I expect the police to use brute force is when they are attacked, in a shootout or terrorism is involved.

The police can not be advising the public against instant justice and engaging In same,what incriminating evidence can be more than killing an innocent person?I dont know the kind of orientation the police go through,simple issues re dramatist by the police,they can lie easily on people including traffic ofenders and once you get to the station everybody there think the same including the commanders and the next thing you hear is charge him for court,before you realize another person is telling you to find a way of settling with them because some people were taken to court and were fine such amount of money so at the end of the day,the take money and allow you to walk.We ve become corrupt that if care is not taken one day we ll wake up to hear what usually happens in other juridictions,where a gun man can load his gun and discharge it on police officers.There re mad men everywhere and it takes some of this things to bring it out.
