In the area of rice cultivation, local production has more than doubled since 2008,rising from 301,900 metric tonnes in 2008 to 604,041 metric tonnes in 2014.These interventions have increased food production hence ensuring food security thus increasing our receipt from the rest of the world

And, as he explained at Axim, the government won't be fixated on infrastructural development in its second term but on measures to improve livelihood, taking advantage of the infrastructural base already laid. What could be more re-assuring than this explanation?

Ghanaians may be in want of instant gratification (which infrastructural development doesn't immediately provide---and which Akufo-Addo and his NPP are quick to snatch at in their bitter but misplaced bad-mouthing campaign); but if they look beyond today, they should see what some of us have seen to assuage all doubts, suspicions and apprehensions. Just as Nkrumah sought to do to move Ghana beyond where his opponents could bring it after orchestrating his overthrow, so also is the NDC administration bent to do (starting with Jerry Rawlings and moving on with Atta Mills and John Mahama).

Ghanaians have come far with these kinds of political gimmicks. Who in his or her right senses doesn't know it is only the Electoral Commission who has the legal authority and power to declare and announce the winner of an election? It is only that gazette declaration that is enforced by the national security. If Ghanaians are convinced that NPP has won the elections, they would not even be troubled to make any declaration, the EC will be bounded to declare same; on the other hand if the idea to forcibly declare your party a winner whilst the results is otherwise, who shall enforce that declaration? You cannot do it yourself. With such behaviors from Nana's men, I see glaringly that they want Nana to fail. Such behaviors and others like Juma are making the NPP unpopular aside its internal wranglings. Has Mac Manu forgotten that, it was the EC who declared the elections at their Congress in Tamale? Even, this was purely a party election, how much more a National election? I do not want to think that he is saying this out of desperations. Ghanaians know all the political tricks and shall act accordingly!

Common sense should tell the NDC and Mahama that the only way to avoid a post-election civil war in Ghana is ensuring electoral fair play and transparency. So far, we haven't seen these. The 1950s UP/NLM and CPP civil war in Ghana is bound to re-ignite after the 2016 elections! let no one think there can never be a civil war in Ghana because we've had it in the past.

THIS WILL SAFEGUARD OU DEMOCRACY AND PREVENT THE CIVL WARS THAT BEDEVIL AFRICAN COUNTRIES IN THE WAKE OF ELECTIONS.
