The Genesis of this crisis was when the Yagbonwura failed to stand his grounds following the disenskinment of the notoriously biligerant Jinapor of Buipe. Gonjas should blame both the Yagbonwura and President Mahama who put a lot of pressure on the latter to reverse the Traditional Council's decision to disenskine Abulai Jinapor. We seem not to be guided by tradition any more, because the Buipe Wura is currently imposing himself as the next in command in Gonjaland. My candid advice to the Gonja chiefs is to treat the invitation of Jinapor with the contempt it deserves.
Today, The Yagbonwura's authority has waned because no chief takes his orders. Any patriotic Gonja must now be aware of the increasing logging in Gonjaland which the president and the chiefs are accomplices. We are gradually witnessing the decadence of a once united and powerful empire. We should be aware of the numerous "enemies " we have around us who are so glad to see us self - destruct.
