I don't know Lawyer Sam OOkudzato is coming from with his biased prescription for the SC. When the same offender is brought before a judge on a similar case, he may give s severer punishment. But when a different offender is brought before a judge on a similar offence that was committed in the past by a different person, the judge cannot punish the current offender more severely. The punishment would be guided by the severity of the offence, but not as precedent. It is necessary to separate our emotional attachments to parties from the principles of law.

This guy exemplifies what is wrong with our political culture....sentencing individuals who were merely blowing hot air to jail will be a sad reflection on the judicial process as it obtains in Ghana. The Supreme Court should have left the prosecution of the loudmouthed NDC duo to a lower court. The fact that the justices of the nation's highest court will devote time and money to the short trial of the two bloviators is an indication that the justices have nothing crucial to do and are just eager to throw their weight around and intrude into public affairs. It is just beneath the dignity of the court to stoop to the level of the NDC braggarts.
