She resembles Yaa Asantewaa, the grate Queenmother of Ejisu, an Ashanti, a Ghanaian, an African, who symbolises to the whole world what women can do, what a Ghanaian woman can do, what an African woman can do and a great symbol of resistance to to colonial rule. We do not always have to refer to every great woman as a Margaret Thatcher. We can refer to great women as Yaa Asantewaa. That is not tribal. I'll be proud to name my football team after Asante Kotoko, Ebusua Dwarfs,Medeama, Wa All Stars, Real Tamale United,Tano Bofoakwa, Brong Ahafo United and that is not tribal, rather than Hearts, after a Scotish club, or Berekum Chelsea, an English club, which does not make sense.

Ghana's population of 27 million is 10 million bigger than The Netherlands', so definitely Representatives of the poplation in Parliament will reflect a higher number. The Nethelands' GDP might be higher relative to Ghana, but that does not mean that Ghana should compromise on representation at the Parliament.

Think about the cost involved in running a district... the dce, assembly members, etc. Ghana is too small for that. The number of districts and constituencies need to be fixed by law like the USA. There should be no creation of new districts but redistricting based on population. We don't need more than 100 MPs. And by the way no one should think about creating any new region in Ghana. Small political divisions do not mean rapid development.

She is the one who will first say hello when she sees you and suspects you're Ghanaian. She has been working as a councillor at the "Gemeente Amsterdam"- Amsterdam city council and her quest to join the Dutch parliament is long overdue.

I'm most excited she finally made it to the "Tweede Kamer", the Dutch parliament.
