There is an urgent need to cut down the number of MPs especially the non-performing ones by sacking them. Let a neighbouring MP be a caretaker MP. Throughout the year their constituencies never had any issues to worry about.

In other countries, statements by certain parliamentarians can be far worse by this standard. Lets explain:
All proposed laws and its amendments are prepared and discussed in the committees, after that the committee takes a stand and advice. people who don't agree with the advice of the committee ask their party to vote against in the plenary sitting of parliament. So first of all, since NDC is the majority, and thus winning most of the committee's advice to parliament there is no need for them to stand up against the committee advice, hence more NDC than NPP people making statements.
Secondly there is party discipline, in otherwords you don't go against the decision against your own party even if you don't agree. The fact that these same NDC people don't stand up and make statements means their party is more disciplined than NPP. So instead of showing that these people are in-active to insiders and people who know the system it shows that NDC is a much more disciplined party than NPP. The NPP MP who never stood up and made a statement can mean that either they are very good and loyal people to the majority decisions of the committee and backed the advice of the committee or have never been active and/or interested, which could also be the case of all NDC in-active MP's. In that case the journalist is right about this article but he should have noted the other reason as well. Not doing so madde thisa VERY LOW QUALITY JOURNALISM
