At least, we need 1 Cabinet Minister from the Volta Region, 1 from the Central Region, 1 from the Upper East Region, and 2 Cabinet Ministers from the Western Region. The remaining ministerial appointments can go any where the ...

At least, we need 1 Cabinet Minister from the Volta Region, 1 from the Central Region, 1 from the Upper East Region, and 2 Cabinet Ministers from the Western Region. The remaining ministerial appointments can go any where the president prefers. I trust Nana Addo will balance his ministerial appointments like K4 did. God bless Nana Addo, God bless our homeland Ghana.

2. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey is a Ga
3. Ambrose Dery is a Dagarti

So my brother what are u talking about? Check your facts and come again. Out of the 13 ministers designate, 6 are non Akans so what is your problem? There are five and half Akan regions in Ghana so compare the breakdown. In any case this list is not exhaustive, more nominees will follow so where are you rushing to with your tribal politics?

How many seats did NPP get from the Volta region? Only 1 from Nowata so per constitution two thirds of ministers will come from parliament in a form of regional balance. This implies that Volta will not be well represented unless they as citizens repent from "evil, jealous and inward looking self pitied tribalism" or go outside parliament to pick an incorruptible Voltarian as a minister which is very difficult to find. Wise up!

I have just played back Nana's appointment of his first batch of ministers to be submitted to Parliament for approval. I could not fail to observe our President's clarity of purpose relating to these appointees as well as his in depth introduction of the personalities. He has nominated persons who seem, on the face of things, to have the qualification, credentials, expertise as well as the required exposure to effectively carry out the assigned duties and responsibilities of their various ministries. This is an impressive start by Nana and I really wish him all the best in his quest to resurrect the fortunes of our great country. So far so good.
