Mr. Agyemang-Manu is being smarter here because at least he has not put his job on the line as the case was with K Donkor. Nonetheless I think Mr. Manu should be a little cautious. Your top priority is to fix the public hospitals and clinic service delivery and administration of those facilities. Right now public hospitals in Ghana are structured not for the well-being of the patients but the workers. Rather than services revolving around the patient, patients revolve around the services. A sick patient is sent from one service point to another rather than the services being delivered to the sick patient in his or her bed.

Once you do this you will improve quality of service and streamline administration which will result in greater productivity, cost savings and thus ability to deliver more care to the Ghanaian populace.

NHIS is simply an insurance plan and that is fixed by prompt reimburse of the fund once service is delivered.

5. Service delivery
6. health Finance
so he should know he has the whole health sector and not NHIA to deal with. All the issues have to be sorted out in tandem.
I wish him luck but he should watch his mouth as that can land him in serious trouble.
