The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said Ghanaians should not blame them for any reprisal attack following what it described as the unacceptable conduct of President Akufo-Addo’s Invincible Forces.
The NDC’s warning is about the disturbances by the rampaging youth of the ruling NPP who are currently going around seizing state facilities following the investiture of Mr Akufo-Addo.
The party’s National Chairman Kofi Portuphy at Press Conference Thursday told the civil society, religious bodies, the media, and the International Community that it cannot contain the “beastly Invincible Forces of President Nana Akufo-Addo” and may be forced to unleash attacks soon.
“Nana Akufo-Addo’s lack of positive and unifying leadership skills as opposition leader seriously wounded the NPP. Never should he mislead himself into believing that Ghanaians shall allow him to wound and divide this dear country of ours. The beastly conduct of Nana Akufo-Addo’s Invincible Forces will no longer be countenanced.
“We are calling on and the international community not to blame the NDC if the unacceptable conduct of Akufo-Addo’s Invincible Forces leads to reprisal attacks.”
