  I remember in 1976 Pro,Mustapha our Neurosergeon said Ghanian and African Leaders have no money to invest in our hospitals but the have money to go to Europe or America for medical check ups or they have money to buy Golf cars for their girlfriends....Gen.A.Achampong "bottom Golf"

  I support the Idea. We waste money on this and we say we are helping to develop Ghana. This is a good idea. why can we not use our own cars as anybody else so we can user that money for the development of our country.

  Having undertaken my fair share of foreign conferences and trips as a university professor, I can't help but add my two cents.
  
  Most of the trip are undertaken for the per diems. During and after every trip I wonder and worry about the expense. Apart for the fun what was the impact of the trip?
  Universities spend thousands of dollars to send staff to these conferences, and I strongly believe that the monies could be better spent.
