I do not believe that Bishop Obinim said 'It is disrespectful for a Bishop like me to be in Court'. Obinim would not say this before a Justice of the Peace. Obinim is a very respectful man, well groomed and self-respecting. News about Obinim has become sensational these days and media houses, bloggers etc. would easily capitalize on any news about this Man of God to make good market and rake in a lot of money.

Typically, the media choose a sensational caption that easily catches the eye and attract a huge readership so that they can make their money. The caption is quite often misleading and I think that is not right.

So we should not rush to crucify Bishop Obinim on the altar of media sensationalism. God has used and is still using him to turn around the lives of thousands of people.

I personally admire him a lot but he should try to seek legal guidance in rolling out the prophecies during his church services. Morally, he did nothing wrong as a father disciplining his errant children, although the approach may have conflicted human rights standards.

I am drawing forumers' attention to the possibility of the information being twisted to sensationalize it for marketing purposes. Remember somebody recently falsely accused Obinim of duping him of GHC11.6 Million? Even if you hated Obinim, you should be moved by basic human instincts driven by the principle of natural justice to sympathize with him on that false accusation.

News about Obinim are very hot and well patronized by the public and the media in all forms. The media is there to make money and they wouldn't present information in a boring manner that will make you keep your money. That is where the sensationalism approach kicks in.

I have never come face to face with Obinim personally but I think he is doing a lot of good things to turn people's lives around. There can be nothing more noble than that. Thank you.

It's also said that the direction the head moves is where the rest of the body follows. The people follow their leaders to wherever they lead them. Obinim should be ashamed of himself for saying"it's disrespectful for a Bishop like me to be in court." He should rather commend those who arraigned him before court to prove his innocence. That's the way. Respect is not purchased with titles but earned by the way you sustain the law, your kindness, humbleness and meekness and respect for the people you are privileged to meet. Bishop Obinim should learn the qualities of a Bishop from Paul's letter to Timothy.
