  This is what Ghanaians have voted for,tribal and lawless government with tribalists like Mathew Opoku Prempeh at the helm of affairs asking authorities to sack Ewes and Northerners from his region,police officers who were protecting lives and properties were forcefully transfered by the tribal IGP,Apeatu at the request of TRIBALIST called Mathew Opoku within hours of that primitive agitation.
  I hope the Ewes,Gas and Northerners will also start asking that Ashanti police officers in their regions be transfered to Ashanti region,sad day for Ghana.

  Supt Klomegah is rather the tribalist who has a hidden brutal hatred for asantes.He came to the Ashanti Region with preconceived hatred for akans,especially asantes and set on the path of brutalizing them.These two should not be allowed to get away with their over violent attitude towards students.Why should the police chase students to beat them in their dormitories?Parents of the injured students should sue the two.ASANTES WILL BE HAPPY TO HAVE ONLY AKAN POLICEMEN IF THAT IS POSSIBLE.NORTHERN AND EWE POLICEMEN CAN SERVE THEIR REGIONS.

  nobody in this country supported the student for blocking the road, the serious issue we are dealing with as a nation for solution is the discretion from the commanders to follow the students up to the school premises which was not part of the scene to the incidence, beat them up and destroy properties , was a breach of ethics and law, because they end up and destroying the same property the are mandated to protect, and using a life bullets was also to kill the same people the law mandated them to protect.This is the understanding in calling for their prosecution.
  To me i would have wish their prosecution instead of their transfer.
  
  Transfer must no more entertain in our democracy as a punishment , to unprofessionalism or corrupt officer or civil servants who breached their own ethics

  my fear in Ghana democracy is that -if you give power to an uninformed person and do not control them by systematic laws and ethics you create a very weak and bad society.
  it is high time in the decades of our democracy make a social steps forward- that everybody must be held responsible of their actions- that will build up a very sound and strong society.
  
  if the people are empowered by law and through the law it serves as a watchdog to people in power and that brings professionalism, respect of rule of law and a very strong democracy.

  Folks l cannot agree or disagree with comments above because for a whole Minister of Education to call for the heads of police without full-scaled investigation into the matter is unfortunate. There is no reaction without an action. What happened?, were the lives of other law abiding citizens endangered by the students action?, did they have a public order Act permit to demonstrate? These are some few questions to ask before calling for heads to roll. When you do that in a democratic
  Country like Ghana, you tie up the hands of the people who are supposed to protect us. Here in USA where there is freedom and one gets bailed out same day when he kills, people get arrested and brutalized when a legitimate demonstration turns violent.
