Yes at long last we have a budget. This is what we call budget not the past ones we didn't get any feel. When it was being read, I understand Abosey Okai spare parts dealers were jubilating because taxes have been removed from importation of spare parts. The budget touched on four major areas: Agric, Education (Free SHS, etc), Health (free NHIS) and Trade (removal of unnecessary taxes). (Anyway, I wonder how the government is going to get its revenue - but "Yes we can".) This means the NDC government could have done better by gearing resources towards priority areas rather than huge ambitious projects being undertaken. Good start NPP Government!

Mr Ato Forson calculation of 22 years cannot be right when you are looking at duration. If you count the years starting with 1994 as Year 1, by Year 2000 the duration is 7 years not 6 years. Add the next 16 years and you get ...

Mr Ato Forson calculation of 22 years cannot be right when you are looking at duration. If you count the years starting with 1994 as Year 1, by Year 2000 the duration is 7 years not 6 years. Add the next 16 years and you get 23 years. Calculating time duration can sometimes be tricky. Mr Ato Forson needs to get his Mathematics right. I find it difficult to forgive him because he was a deputy finance minister!
