Community police service would be the preferred name for such police in yellow highlight uniform rather the the regular police uniforms.

Though the creation of "Sanitation Police" is good, what is most important is the professionalism and integrity of such police. What is the guarantee that they will not be condoning and conniving with offenders and accept bribes, a conker which has eaten very deep into the fabrics of the current police system?

The best sanitation policing is to adopt Singapore system of policing.Ghana definitely need that of Singapore other than that, the whole Water and Sanitation Ministry would be of no use.

Sanitation police very good idea provided they will be CORRUPTION PROOF and CORRECTLY PAID! 'Cause the boys will as usual in Ghana collect bribes offered by offenders and the FILTH will continue in Accra as in all other parts of Ghana. The Colonlial and even Nkrumah's (corrupt and nepotism)CPP era Town Councillors were honest and by imposing "summons" on offers were able to help keep our environment clean !
