  The law on small scaled mining has to be refined and 'surface' and alluvial mining removed. Total ban isn't gonna work since it's survival matter now. I only thank God that Okyehene and Co are comprehending the gravity of the situation vis-a-vis their earlier posturing; the Chiefs and local authorities are the panacea if this fight against galay is to succeed. Galamsey is like drug trafficking, you may send thousands to arrest but they'll be 'invested' themselves! Only those who 'suffered' the ravages of the addiction can stand to it.

Were you still on the throne 2yrs ago when they destroyed the railway line in your kingdom?. Where were you when those galamseyers destroying the land of the school for the blind?. I wish you had said it earlier ,now look at our environment. Including some water bodies and farmlands in your kingdom .   How can the Okyenhere ask for banning of small scale mining as if he is innocent of the difference between galamsey (that he a kingpin and beneficiary) and small scale mining. He learnt lot about galamsey when he was board chairman of the environmental protection council and used that knowledge of the loopholes in the law to make Kyebi my hometown the headquarters of galamsey. All the scenery that existed before his enstoolment is all gone and he has swallowed his ill-gotten wealth. He has no moral right to ask for this insanity; depriving law-abiding licensed small scale miners of their daily bread by equating it to an illegality - Galamsey. Don't confuse the good people of Ghana. You can blackmail galamsey boys for their gold but the honest hardworking small scale miners. Tell Ghanaians who owns the heavy duty equipment ripping off the lands of Kyebi township including the cemetery infront of your Palace? Woabodam agyimi! It won't happen. Galamsey is the same as small scale mining so there's no difference at all. Nkwasiafo)! If Akufo Addo don't ban it, he should consider himself just a one term president. Mmoa! Who told you if the President bans it, it will be disastrous for the nation? Woagyimi abodam! If you are wise a, you could have seen how your activities have destroyed lives and properties. Polluting the air, water and land. Which water should villagers drink from, bathe from, cook from? Gyimigyimii! How come they buy sachet water to drink, cook and even bathe with it because heartless beings like you and your evil chiefs, politicians, MPs and pastors are in search of gold. It is only in Ghana that you see and hear these nonsense.
