Clarification On Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa And The Arrested Sister

It is important to clarify why Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Mercy Ablakwa share the same surname, but were fathered by different men. This is to help readers to connect the story that purportedly linked the deputy minister of information, Samuel Ablakwa Okudzeto and, the sister, Mercy Ablakwa who is currently studying at Charleston University in West Virginia,

Ablakwa is the middle name of the deputy information minister. He chose the surname of his stepfather in honor of the man who catered for him in the absence of his biological father. So his sister’s surname is his middle name as a result. I hope this clarification removes all forms of doubts from the minds of those following the unfolding saga.

The red flags are already up about her source of funding, tuition cost, and other exigencies. We are pursuing those angles of the unfolding saga and would update the Ghanaian public appropriately.

Mercy Ablakwa

Mercy Ablakwa, the younger sister of Deputy Minister of Information Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been arrested in the United States of America (USA) for forgery.

Mercy, who is 22-years-old, is currently facing criminal prosecution. Documents available to the Daily Guide newspaper indicate that Mercy, a student of Charleston University in West Virginia, was arrested on October 7, 2011 in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and was subsequently charged for the offence of Forgery-Uttering under section 943.38 of the statutes of the State of Wisconsin.

A criminal case was filed against Mercy in court on October 9, 2011, two days after her arrest, where the charge of forgery-uttering was preferred against her.

What exactly do you think you are achieving by using the names and monikers of others to write your insulting nonsense? Nothing! You can only fool strangers with that scurrilous behavior. And those strangers don't know us, so it is like hitting your head against a wall in order to break it: you'd break your own head, bastard!

Btw, Ablakwa makes more sense than you'd make in a 1000 years! Is it not a far fact that Kufuor ran a visa racket in the Castle until it was exposed and they made one person the scape-goat? When I mentioned the involvement of Blay in the racket to an Nzima client some years back, he exclaimed: Ah! As for that he helped people paa! He helped about 200-400 people. They were charging $6000 per person! Thus, this revelation, indeed, is no news.

And yet on the other extreme hand, he engages in monologues about diplomacy, favor, et al. What bunkum? The issue is that if these shady stuff are known to Parliament or Government for years now, what has he as a foreign affiars committee member done? MPs are all guilty of consular abuses. We have tales of Ghanaians telling sordid tales about the amounts charged by MPs to procure visas under diverse pretexts of being relatives. Why is it that each time an MP travels, he/she has to travel with a "wife", "daughter", "niece" and all the fucking non-descript shits they peddle. However undiplomatic they label Jon, did they engage in fraudulent stuff or not. That is the question to answer and not the sort of insane justifications and excuses.

The MP's did not submit forged documents to the British high commission for the visas. As long as genuine papers were submitted and the consular officer thought it fit to issue the visas, what makes it fraud? The fact that those who were given the visas did not return back to Ghana after their stay is a different issue altogether. The MP's therefore have not committed any fraud. It was the responsibility of the British government to monitor visitors movements while in their country and make sure they return. If the person does not, it is the one who was issued with the visa who has committed fraud and not the MP's who facilitated the issuance of the visas.
