Anybody knows you hear the name Mahama and you know some sophisticated fishy business or crime is being committed using various institutions as their camouflage cover . You listen to the various videos and you may even hear the gunshots of the captain shooting at the people but no where was he shouting as required to identify himself. Because the people are Fantis or Akans its easier to blame them instead of finding out the truth. The story doesnt add up , anyone who has taken the time to travel around most pats of the Central region will observe even in the middle of the night even white girls , tourists Europeans and other foreigners walking alone or roaming around unaccompanied and nothing ever happens to them . But then again every once in a while we hear of some white-man being killed because of some gold deal. Lynching is wrong but this has elements of self defense and over reactions to it, remember he fired his gun at the people before with courage they disarmed him . It would have been better if they had handed him over to the police but we all know he would have paid a bribe and those who had apprehended him would have been languishing in jail . There can be no peace without the assurance of justice. Npp , Ndc and most of the media are in a hype propaganda mode to blame the innocent people of the town rather than properly look at the suspicious activities of the captain . First he was jogging alone with a gun in plain sight . Rather than identify himself chose to engage in shooting at the residents , a sign of substandard training or criminal intent . He was on duty and an officer but had no other lower ranking soldiers accompanying him , was he deployed there to be on holiday so could go jogging around ? Never trust these security forces especially the army as they are involved in all kinds of criminal activity and always have sophisticated propaganda lies to make it appear they did nothing wrong. A wise man once said its stupidity to know the truth but chose to believe the lie.

COURTESY: CLASSFMONLINE.COM ----- The various corruption allegations surfacing are proof that the Mahama administration was far more corrupt than previously thought, former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Prof Stephen Adei has said at a Business Roundtable organised by Yamson and Associates in Accra on Wednesday, 31 May. “Do you know why many people want to be politicians? It’s because that is the quickest way to get rich in this country,” Prof Adei said, adding: “We are yet to know the facts because we are not the investigators but the types of things that are being revealed about the amount of corruption [are mind-boggling].” National Communication Authority graft So far three appointees of former President John Mahama are being investigated by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for allegedly diverting some $4million belonging to the National Communications Authority (NCA). The three appointees, according to Information Minister Mustapha Hamid, conspired with a private citizen to commit the act. The former Mahama appointees being investigated, as named by Mr Hamid in an interview with Joy FM’s Kojo Yankson on Wednesday, 24 May, include Mr Eugene Baffoe-Bonney, former Board Chairman of the NCA; Mr William Tevie, former Chief Executive Officer of the NCA; and Alhaji Osman, former Deputy National Security Coordinator. Their conspirator, according to Mr Hamid is one George Oppong. Mr Hamid said they engaged in the graft in connection with a contract between the Mahama administration and an Israeli company, NSO Group Technology Limited, in which the latter was to supply eavesdropping gadgets worth $6 million. The equipment were meant to help the government of Ghana monitor the calls of suspected terrorists. In the course of the transaction, Mr Hamid said a local agent – Infraloks Development Limited – charged $2million as facilitation fee, bringing the total amount to $8million. According to Mr Hamid, National Security, which did not have the funds for the equipment, allowed the NCA, which supervises the use of such equipment, to fund the project. The NCA top officials, he revealed, withdrew $4 million from the NCA’s kitty but gave only $1million to the Israeli firm. The surplus, according to Mr Hamid, was deposited into the personal accounts of Mr George Oppong, who fronted as an agent of Infraloks Development Ltd. He said Alhaji Osman orchestrated the entire deal. According to Mr Hamid, demands by the Israeli firm to be paid the $5 million balance after the Mahama administration lost power in the December 2016 elections prompted the new Akufo-Addo government to probe the transaction after which the graft was detected. Mr Hamid said: “They took $4 million from NCA accounts and paid $1 million to the Israeli company and then deposited $3 million in the accounts of the local agent, one Mr George Oppong, and proceeded to share the $3million among themselves.”

If care is not taking and actions and inactions can destroy the change that is about to happen as a result of Mahamah death. Many many innocent people have been lynched every day in Ghana. For decades and the inhumane barbaric murderers go with impunity. This very one has been like the death of Jesus to save innocent lives but some demonic people are trying to destroy the steam by letting people take the law into their own hands for reprisal action n this will lead to chains of disorder and no Ghana. Let the ruling party and media put pressure on the judiciary and police to make sure the perpetrators are punished severely. Don't forget two police men of high caliber were killed by land guards in Ablekuma namely Kofi Ninja and Jerry who were very prominent police officers. They even married their dead bodies. They didn't film it because they knew those guys were police. The town boys never knew the captain was an army officer. They wouldn't have filmed it if truly they knew his identity. They should be punished as all life is life not only an army office but any person u suspect should be handed over to the police

Progressive countries do not lynch people if they are deemed to be criminals. Those who believe the town folks were on the right track cannot normalize this uncalled for heinous lynching.

All those involved should be rounded up and face the consequences of their actions. There is no justification for condoning this irrational behavior!

The NDC can't stand the heat! They're so confused and shaking in their boots! I heard Asiedu-Nketia daring the President to step down. Wonders will never end! The "galamsey" business was rife during AFRC/P-NDC era; they used helicopters to transport gold to the seat of gov't for onward transfer and allocation to prospective international customers.

Former RSM, Jack Bebley was part of the escort of the gold haul during their nocturnal activities. He got disappointed after seeing no rewards in those dubious operations. He and his men revolted and ambushed the convoy that carried the good booty, on it's way to the castle in the middle of the night. The case took a "hush-hush" handling and Jack and his men disbanded from the operation team. That's the real beginning of gold rush in Ghana. Because everyone was now free to indulge in what later turned to be "galamsey!"

It's free for all; NDC, NPP, CPP---it didn't matter who you are---everyone got involved, esp. during NDC's regime. Things got intense during John Mahama's rule, when his brothers, appointees, ministers of state were all involved, using foreigners esp. Chinese, Russians etc. to indulge in illegal mining.

It takes one to tune in to radio programs to know who're defending the galamsey thing, esp. Baba Jamal, Kwabena Akandoh, Kwaku Boahen and those who pretent to be fighting the menace on TV, yet hide behind the veil carrying out their dubious deals in gold. To them, it's no crime so long as you don't get directly involved in the business. Such is the character of the NDC.

I heard someone say on Radio that: "it will be impossible to stop galamsey" because it's come to stay! I just can't imagine that a public official could make such public statement---that's NDC for you!

But they ain't seen nothing yet! The citizenry are calling for the head of all corrupt NDC apparatchiks to be hauled before the courts of justice to trial. "Tiiifs" causing problems in our midst! Why?

The NDC, due to their wickedness invited foreigners e.g. The Chinese and Russians and fronted them to aquire permits under shady documentations to destroy our environments. They partnered some unscrupulous business entities to peddle the mining equipment to these foreigners. Their businesses even evaded the taxes that were supposed be paid for importing these heavy duty equipments to this country. So now knowing that the backlash of their obvious shady dealings in imminent, they've made a U- turn to blame the NPP administration that is cleaning their mess.
