THE Special or Independent Prosecutors Office should be set up now or never, these thieves should never be allowed to walk on the streets of Accra or anywhere in Ghana freely with this magnitude of corruption allegations hanging on their necks like albatross for not even a day. White collar crime is stalling the development of Africa with an unprecedented pace. If a young man who steals few items is prosecuted to the full extent of the law and normally handed stiff sentences, but the system allows people who commit white collar crimes of this magnitude to walk freely for even a day, how do you think other nations e.g. The western countries will perceive us. Again if the Akuffo Addo administration approaches any of our developmental partners for financial assistance without seeking to retrieve what we've already lost through this wicked former government operatives , do you think the Trump administration or the British government will take us serious as a nation?.
