Even when it comes to human FREEDOM in everything, The US is no match to Ghana. For example you "buy" a house there, you sweat ALL your life just attempting to pay the debt off. In Ghana, one can PURCHASE a piece of land and build his/her OWN house, but try that in the US. Even the Native Americans who actually own the land have to go to court to claim their God's given land. Is this freedom?

Everybody there is in DEBT, and the banks and the government exploit debtors by way of unlimited interests payments. Every car "owner" ( except an older car owner ) in Abrokyire does not actually own the car: it's either leased, credit-purchased, or rented. Is this freedom?

Those deported should not worry: get settled and try some business, even supporting yourself by farming, and enjoy your freedom in Ghana that you will never get in the US. Oh, did I mention the WEATHER? Ghana is a PARADISE!!

Yes of course you can buy a land to build your own house in Ghana without a mortgage, but how many times do you have to fight for the land or same land being sold to other people before you finally attain one. In addition, how many barricades and iron rods you have to use to barricades your beautiful windows and doors to enjoy the beauty of them. All these, ghanaians do to prevent armed robbery. Furthermore, do you actually know the ratio of Ghanaians that have attained the minimum educational level, high school. If you really want to compare Ghana to America please get your statistics straighten out. Or may be you are one of the well off Ghanaians who has no clue what is going on in your motherland. I believe the majority of Ghanaians don't migrate to America to just for money to acquire houses and lands but for opportunities to contribute to our society.

One can buy a dispute-free land in any TOWN or VILLAGE in Ghana for any project, but same can not be said about The US. If many Ghanaians have burglar-proofed their windows, Americans do not leave their doors opened either, when they go to sleep, not to mention the right to own a gun and KILL anybody you "suspect" as a threat to your life.

Who told you going to America is a sure way of one having an opportunity? Many Americans themselves are homeless to begin with, and there are academic degree holders who drive taxis as well for a living. One does NOT have to go to America in order to have the opportunity to "contribute to our society" This assertion is a mindset twist: One can acquire all the educational credentials from class one through to the PhD level in Ghana without stepping in The US, in order to be useful to his country, Ghana. Ghanaian-trained doctors and other professionals are always lured to work in The US or UK by "special" visas. Couldn't we use the same intellectuals to advance our own "development"? In this case, didn't these intellectuals acquire their skills in Ghana, but contributed to a society other than their own?

Ghanaians with clear and confident mindset, can "develop" like any other so called advanced country, except that our thinking is devoid of confidence. You mentioned High School statictics, but I am not comparing school statistics of over 250 million people to that of 27 million, but I can tell you that Ghana is moving forward to give FREE High School education to its citizens, and that in itself is advancement. Stop thinking that we by all means need to go to the US in order to get the "opportunity to contribute to our society"

I can tell for a fact that not all "values" in the US are commendable as we often make them seem. Ghana may not be as technologically advanced like the US, but ask your self if inspite of the latter's tecnological know-how, albeit tapped from immigrants around the globe, if it's is a haven that all should leave our coutry and head to?

I do not know about you, but to myself, Ghana has great values comparable to no other and the potential to be a even a greater country, but we need a change in our THINKING.

I can confirm that the Ambassador is a lying BASTARD. All deportees especially those from Africa or Black deportees are treated worse than animals when on flights.

I can confirm that the Ambassador is a lying BASTARD. All deportees especially those from Africa or Black deportees are treated worse than animals when on flights.
I have worked for a company specialising in escorting deportees and the instructions are clear - chain and handcuff them, release only one hand for them to eat, keep them in handcuffs when escorting them to the toilet and always keep toilet doors open. prevent any talk between the deportees if possible. Only release them from the chains when the plane touches down and is at a stop just before the doors are opened.
