  NDC told us NPP was just using Bawumia to win power, after which he'd become a mere errand boy as Vice President. Yet, so far, Bawumia is already becoming the most powerful Vice President in the 4th Republic. He is the one who leads negotiations with international organisations (e.g. IMF) and foreign powers (e.g. China, USA/MCC).
  
  At home, he is not just a ceremonial head of the economic management team. He is actually the go-to person on economic issues. Even President Akufo-Addo defers to him when matters of the economy comes up. How envious Amissah-Arthur might be feeling right now.
  
  But then again, it's a question of competence. If you choose a Veep solely for the purpose of winning the votes from a particular region, s/he is likely to end up like Amissah-Arthur or Aliu Mahama! Not surprisingly, Aliu Mahama was not a serious contender to succeed his boss as his party's flagbearer. Neither is Amissah-Arthur!
