It’s ridiculous on their part, to even minutely think they could go any extent with their intentions of destabilizing the country, moreso, with the weapons they had, Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong has said about the three suspects in connection with an alleged plot against the presidency.
The three men, led by a doctor; Frederick Yao Mac-Palm, had planned an attack on the Jubilee House, one that was detected and foiled by a combined team of CID and BNI operatives after fifteen months of surveillance and gathering of evidence on their activities.
The three have since been arrested and are assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, Mr. Agyapong, speaking on the subject on Net2 TV’s ‘The Seat’ show, described the move as a joke and the perpetrators equally jokers. The retrieved equipment from the trio, according to him, is enough evidence to prove that.
“In today’s era of modernization, you want to go and carry out a coup? They are jokers! They are joking and see the equipment they were hoping to use, what will get from it?” he quizzed.
He called for authorities to deal with them accordingly by law for attempting to cause the country harm.
“The law should deal with them,” he said, adding, “We have seen coups in Ghana here but still they didn’t make any difference in our lives, it even worsened the situation.”
