The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will begin on September 6, exactly 82 days after the end of the 2023/24 season.
The GFA has also set key deadlines for the upcoming season. Clubs must submit their kits by August 15 and their squad lists by August 17. These deadlines also apply to clubs in the Women's Premier League and the Division One League (DOL).
Reigning champions Samartex will defend their title against 17 other clubs. They won the championship last season, surpassing Accra Lions.
The newly promoted teams for this season are Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC. They will replace Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United, who were relegated.
