The Black Stars of Ghana are expected to improve their performance in the upcoming doubleheader against Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Ghanaian male senior national team had the chance to take control of Group F in September during the first two matches of the qualifiers.
However, a defeat to Angola at home and a draw against Niger away have left the Black Stars in danger of missing out on qualification for the next continental tournament.
Heading into the October international break, the Black Stars, led by head coach Otto Addo, look poised to improve their performance in the two games against Sudan with the hope of bagging all six maximum points.
Two wins against Sudan this month will significantly improve Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON, scheduled to be hosted in Morocco.
The first leg of the meeting between Ghana and Sudan will be played on October 11, before the reverse fixture is hosted by Sudan on October 14.
