Ghanaian midfielder, Afriyie Acquah, is set to replace injured Isaac Sackey who was named in Ghana’s 24-man squad ahead of their doubleheader against Congo.
Sackey suffered an injury last Friday while in action for his Turkish club Alanyaspor and remains a huge doubt for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is reported to have handed Torino midfielder Acquah a late call up to the squad as they are set to kick start preparations on Monday ahead of the crucial encounter.
Meanwhile, Acquah was in action for Torino yesterday when they defeated Sassulo 3-0 in the Italian Serie A.
